I'm hoping for some feedback here from experienced Bricklink.com users.

In the orders placed section, you can put comments about the order: It's called: "MY NOTE ON ORDER" if you hover over it, you can read your comments.

I want to know if Bricklink keeps your orders indefinitely so that I can track who sends worn, dirty or even broken lego, without them having these ugly comments out there for other people to see (I'd rather not get in a pissing match with someone). I'd just rather steer clear of them going forward. Should I be tracking this stuff on Bricklink??

Can the vendor that I'm dealing with read those comments? I'd assume not but just in case??

For those whom have used Bricklink for some time now, do you use it to store this information or just do it separately in a spreadsheet or something??

Orders are purged after 6 months, so these record are gone. I would advise to put a note on user rather than an order. "My Note On User" is not visible to that user.

Hi Breakdown,

It is possible to add notes about a seller. When you go to a store, you can see on the top right "add to My Favorite Stores". You click, there and then can add a comment and even least favorite the store. The store will not see the comment or the note.

I find it more practical than leavning negative feedbacks. Seller may indeed use retaliatory feedbacks.

On forums people don't always read or understand my questions and answers them perfectly.

This is one of the few occasions where two people hit the nail square on the head. Zux - that is what I was anticipating, they do purge, but haven't been around long enough to see a purge. Kinggregus - Excellent idea and thanks for the confirmations.

Thanks!!
