RIP Leonard Nimoy.

You have always been, and you shall always be, our friend.

His last tweet was: "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be head, but not preserved, except in memory".

I was building the Exo-suit when I heard. I think science fiction as we know it owes a lot to Star Trek, and Star Trek owes a lot to Spock.

I would like to say in this, my 47th post; while I was more of a 24th century era fan, I am under no illusions. Spock was the greatest character that Star Trek ever produced, and there never can nor should be a greater one. A lot of this is down to Nimoy's own proactive contribution to the character, which is all the more remarkable considering that he initially signed up to play a more generic 'half-Martian' character (Spock's logical persona was only established in the second pilot). All other alien regulars, in Star Trek and the likes of Babylon 5 and Andromeda, owe their existence to this man.

As for his contribution to Lego; why else would Lego's most famous spaceman wear blue!
