peffour Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Hi all! A recent trip to Denmark and UK allowed me to visit some Lego Store and pick some bricks to upgrade my Ewoks village...I thought it could be nice to share it on Eurobricks! I guess it could have been better, the color scheme was limited to the Pick a Bricks walls, so I tried to keep an Endor spirit the best I could. The new tree has been built using some 1x1 bricks with 4 knobs, and vertical 2X6 brown plates. This way, I've been able to rise the tree with only a few parts, but the structure is a bit weak when pressed on the sides. Anyone got some experience upgrading this set? I'm curious to see what you came up with :) Quote

Bricksnaps Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Nice to see these ideas...guess I will be needing to buy a second one Quote
Kelso Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I really like both of your Ewok villages! Quote

Ewok Village Thanks ISDAvenger! I remember seeing this custom made village months ago, I wish I had some ATST to get with mine, maybe should I check for a proper scalled moc with 2 seats inside :) Quote

I always wonder why Lego themselves didn't come up with such an idea. It seems that every set they bring out can be made better. Quote
sander1992 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 ISDavenger: That looks great. But I think the trees need more leaves to make it complete. Quote
Andy D Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 wauuw, really nice. I always wonder why Lego themselves didn't come up with such an idea. It seems that every set they bring out can be made better. That is really great, by not having "The Ultimate LEGO Set" it gives us some room to make sets better, adding our own personal stamp on sets. If every LEGO set was pushed to the limit they would cost so much that they would not sell well. This way they sell well, to those who like the sets as-is, great. The rest of us modify. Just MHO, YMMV, Andy D Quote
Bricksnaps Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Well I just got my second set on ebay for $190 plus shipping...so I am going to try doubling up. I def am going to double the height of the trees but I am thinking about adding an additional one if I can s that we can have another bridge walkway. My son made the first set all by himself and I really love the set, he is 8 and it has fantastic playability...it could be one of my fav playset pieces of all time. I cannot wait to add our AT-ST walkers to it also. Quote
