TheMohawkNinja Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Hello, I would like to use the Digital Designer program (or whatever other program that you guys would think is better) to take the pre-existing Super Star Destroyer set, and modify it for a little engineering project I have planned for when I eventually buy the set, as altering the set in the virtual world a lot more simple than pulling parts off and back on again in the real world. The question I have, is: Is there a way (either through this forum's members, or from an in-program library) to upload the Super Star Destroyer kit to modify from, since it would be impossible for me to recreate the set by myself? Thanks! P.S. In case anyone is wondering, I am planning on gutting out a portion of the Super Star Destroyer so that I can fit at least part of my custom lightsaber inside of it. In addition to this, there will be a small motor inside the Super Star Destroyer that will control a Lego mechanism that will open and close some Lego doors that house the rest of the lightsaber. weavil Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 You can use Lego Digital Designer (LDD) or Ldraw. With them you can select sections and move them to the side, then do what may. LDD is easier but strict on connections. While Ldraw is a little lax on connections, it is more of a cad program. Quote
legoman19892 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 LEGO does not supply LDD versions of sets to download. You would need to rely on someone else. If you get your hands on the instructions before buying, it may be simple to only construct the Technic interior of the set of you are not altering the exterior. Quote
weavil Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 There are list of official Lego set made in LDD and Ldraw in the Digital forum. Quote
