Iria Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Heya, the name is Iria. I grew up playing my brother’s LEGO. I remember having a house on a grassy baseplate to myself, but he tore it up and threw it out the window (bratty younger brothers…). Last year I finally bought my first set (Silver Mine), followed a couple bins of generic box and then promptly got addicted. I’m steadily building up my collection from X-mas and Valentine’s Day gift cards. I enjoy modifying sets and building MOCs, especially of landsapes and trees, though my skills are lacking. Recently I created my first custom using a Friend’s mini-doll. (I generally think the mini-dolls are annoying and weird looking, so wanted to experiment with it, otherwise I might have tossed it.) I based it off my favourite video game npc, and am fairly pleased with the result: Anyways I look forwards to wandering around the forum and checking out the creations and reviews. Quote

TheLegGodt Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome and eh.... You seriously melted that mini-doll? Quote
Iria Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Thanks for the welcomes. Welcome and eh.... You seriously melted that mini-doll? Haha, not quite- I added adhesive putty to create the dress and then covered it and her lower limbs with JB Weld. Quote
GallardoLU Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the party! great work on the custom figure! as for your other builds the only thing I will say is never stop experimenting! I've learned more from trying to put parts together (and mostly realizing it wont work) than I've ever learned from guides or instruction books. your tree based house is lovely, and I can see so much potential in it. I think I'm going to enjoy seeing what you can do in the future! Quote
dr_spock Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Welcome to Eurobricks. Great job on the minidoll. I never thought of using JB Weld that way. Quote

I never thought of using JB Weld that way. JB Weld is my duct tape! Welcome to Eurobricks! (You got a rare amount of "welcome" messages here) It might have been my oddly worded title. (Hopefully nobody thought I was going to take their LEGO ) Quote
Robin Creations Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Welcome to Eurobricks! The mini doll looks really nice. As for building skills, feel free to join the Guilds of Historica. There's always challenges and tasks to do there to help your building Have fun! Quote
Iria Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Nice job my friend! Great minidolls! Thanks. I have much more devious plans for the rest of the minidolls. None will be spared. Quote
