Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Great job. What happened to multiculturalism? It is really something to laugh about Quote
Brainbox Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Very nice. *y* But, technically, that's more of a Ballista than a crossbow. ;-) Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Nice ballista! The mech is nicely built too, but I don't think it really works with the rest of the castle theme. ;-) Quote
Norrington Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 LOL! I actully had a spit take there with my pop when I saw that. :-D I'd rather speak a French* saying that may or may not be correct French than fight that mech! "Joyeux de Phantome!" *We can assure you that Norrington does not speak French, he just heard this on the Radio. Quote
hewkii9 Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 Great job. What happened to multiculturalism? It is really something to laugh about It's right there- the hyper-advanced necromantic death culture of the Skellies, reflected in their giant bone-reinforced death machines, and the happy-go-lucky warfare culture of the living Crownies, with their simple ballistas [don't call them that infront of the Crownies, it'll shatter their way of life]. Nice ballista! The mech is nicely built too, but I don't think it really works with the rest of the castle theme. It doesn't. Let me give you a startling revelation about Viking-Force- it's set in a parralel universe. DUN DUN DUN. A Viking craft flew through universes and crashed in CrownieWorld [TM]. The Necromancer surrected it [it never had life before], put bone in it to enhance necrocontrol, and painted it. LOL! I actully had a spit take there with my pop when I saw that. I'd rather speak a French* saying that may or may not be correct French than fight that mech! "Joyeux de Phantome!" *We can assure you that Norrington does not speak French, he just heard this on the Radio. Happy the Ghost? What does that mean? But I'd rather say that than fight my own creations, too. Quote
Norro Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Nice job but could you please resize your pics, find myself only looking at one picture most of the times you post because of the size of the image... Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Quote
Brainbox Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Happy the Ghost? What does that mean? Exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps it was 'joyeux anniversaire.' Quote
Norrington Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Happy the Ghost? What does that mean? But I'd rather say that than fight my own creations, too. Heh, heh. I guess I forgot the french word order and the word "The". The phrase I meant was "Joy of the Phantom," which fits pretty well here. Quote
hewkii9 Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 Sounds like a name for a robot! Or... A Robot Giant Skellie Mech! Quote
Norrington Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 (edited) Sounds like a name for a robot! Or...A Robot Giant Skellie Mech! [insert Snappy Response Here] Hewkii: Hey! Leave my mother out of this! X-D You do realize, being HM info buff I am, that I heard this before? For DisneyLand Paris' opening, they played "Grim Grining Ghosts" in French, becasue of Phantom Manor (DLP's Haunted Mansion). "Joyeux de Phantome" is, quite simply, an attempt at the title, "Grim Grinning Ghosts." As we know, it roughly translates to "(The) Joy of the Phantom) which is eqeully appropriate, as Phantom Manor's antagonist is the Phantom, a man with a skull for a head, and is father of Melanie Ravenwood, the bride, and protagonist. That made no sense, did it? Edited July 29, 2007 by Norrington Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Amazing job. It reminds me of one of the Megabloks giant crossbows. Siege weaponry on steroids ON! Quote
