Bering Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Does somebody have an LDD file of the technic tractor 8849? If so, i would be very happy. Quote
Lasse D Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 It is unfortunately not in the long list here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226 But if you make one, it can be put up and it will be valuable for the next person to ask :) Quote
Bering Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks for your reply Lasse. I will try to make a LDD file for that set later. Quote
Bering Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 I already started with the LDD but came across some problems. Part 4442 and 4261 for the steering isn't in LDD. I also can't find the big old technic wheels, but i can replace them with newer wheels. Any ideas to solve the steering problem? Quote
mzoli Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Hi Bering, The legacy Technic parts are not in LDD. I think they won't be added in future brick versions. You may use brick built solution for the steering, like I did for 5580 or 8842. Edited February 11, 2015 by mzoli Quote
Lasse D Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 These are unfortunately some of the problems you will encounter in LDD.As you can see in the submission topic people generally either replace parts with some that exist, leave them out when they don't fit, ant they always make notes about this kind of changes. Bering Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Aha i see, thanks. I only used LDD once for a monstertruck as you can see in my profile pic. I will finish this tractor for sure. How do i upload the LXF file to this site when i'm done? Quote

You can create an account on a LEGO related hosting such as brickshelf or bricksafe and then link the files. If it is an official model and the quality of the work is good enough, you can think to post it in the Official Sets made in LDD topic, but be careful to follow its rules while posting (rules are written in the firs post of the topic). Bering Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Thanks for your help. I just posted my first work in the LDD sets topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226 Edited February 12, 2015 by Bering Quote
Calabar Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) Good work. I take advantage of this discussion to give you a welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. You entry is very good, but there is something to fix yet: - The image has not been cropped perfectly. You should remove ALL the borders around the subject. I suggest you to use the original PNG format for the screenshot. - The forum attachment function is not adequate to share the lxf. Use one of the LEGO related file hosting I suggested you above to upload and share both the image and the lxf file. Thanks! Edited February 12, 2015 by Calabar Quote

I thought linking was also allowed from other sites. I registered at Bricksafe and placed my files there. I cropped the PNG to the edges of the object. I will make some other sets in future. Quote
Calabar Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks to you. Other site are allowed if are affordable and allow not-problematic direct linking for the files. The hosting sites I suggested are affordable and offers the service, so it is preferable to use that. For your further entries, don't forget to adequately size the images! Quote
