I have been working on some more LEGO funfair rides. I am getting better at making six and eight sided hubs but I keep thinking it would be so much easier to have a proper element. I have to work so hard on the hubs I find myself designing bricks instead of models! I have come up with just three designs that would make the fairground ride so much easier to build.

I have sketched and attached a picture of my ideas. I think 4,6 and 8 sided elements are needed, with two-studded limbs and a central four-studded hub, big enough to accommodate bricks on each limb at the same time. The plate would have a round hole in the centre so you have to option to have the brick freely rotating on the axle or fixed to it by means of a bush or 2x2 plate as shown. The four-studded centre arrangement would also allow provision on the bottom for a gear wheel which could be fixed using the connector peg with knob stud as shown.

These three simple components would save so much complicated engineering and would open up a whole new world of model development. Please LEGO lets have some of these!!!
