Spherus Magna Reborn : Mocs

So I decided to open a topic here as well. Some of you might have seen these before, others might not. All my mocs are part of a fanfic called the SMR Saga. It's set in a undefined future on Spherus Magna, many years after Mata Nui restored it. We're on a new island with the mystical name Mehri Nui, where a big bunch of different tribes of modern Matoran live under the guidance of the 5 Elders, the Turaga.

I'll just put up some pictures of several older WIPS (most of my mocs are still WIPs).

Matoran

These Matoran are my personal favourites and are the ones that I enjoy most when building, because they're extremely simple yet still extremely versatile.

Toa

There are more Toa that I've done, but these are the most recent ones.

Revamps

These are revamps of the current or older sets, but they'll play a role in my storyline as well.

I've worked quite hard on this Onua revamp, and although it isn't finished yet ( the arms and legs really need work, and the Kanohi needs to be replaced ), I must say I'm quite satisfied with it so far. I do need some help with the toes, because for some reason they never stick to the ground.

I think that my favorite part of these MOCs is that you are not discriminatory as to parts, and your mixing of the 'old' parts with the 'new' parts. It works far better than one would expect, and I love the bulky looks you have created.

Thanks ! It's my goal to incorporate both, as I feel they complement each-other quite well. I feel like the best mocs out there combine old pieces, Technic and CCBS in a complex way. And that's what I'm aiming for. ;)

I especially like the little purple guy, looks like onepu. Onua looks really great, I love the top heavy bulk he has, but he really needs oversized, brick built hands. That's the big problem with the new official set, the regular hands look puny on him, especially considering the original's badass claws. I'd love to see your versions of other characters from the bionicle story and of the official sets.

@Nick Wolfe : Yeah most certainly ! I'm still working on Onua atm, I want to give him those big beefy technic-like fingers sooner or later, I simply lack some of the pieces I want to use for it. It's also why the complete arms and legs are still pretty normal looking. But thanks for the compliments, it really means a lot to me !

Anyway, here I have a WIP of Gali, Guardian of Water. She isn't completely finished yet, I still need some extra pieces in different colours as you can probably see for yourself.

So again, as always really, this is still a WIP and I'm open to criticism in order to improve my mocs as much as possible ! Larger pictures can be found on my Flickr. Thanks for your time !
