What software is used to build the building instruction of the lego official sets ?

Well, there are some options; I don't know exactly what Lego uses, but most people here use

* LDraw or Bricksmith for the digital model (or LDD, but it's a bit more difficult to create comprehensible pdf manuals from there)

* LDView for rendering

* LPub for the manual
