Nalyd997 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 From the title I am sure everyone knows what I am building. For those who don't it is Sheepo's legendary Defender. Now I have two of the parts, the question is do I need the other two? Where are they in the model(not the two on the bonnet)? Can you use angle 5? I am sorry if this is considered as a bump but I just needed the answer straight away. Quote
Corvette3 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 i'm just gonna make it in black (probably) not for a while though, i still have a lot of parts to track down, i suppose that does not help you much, sorry. i really need to buy the instructions so i can plan the build, come to think of it. dougstar Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Why not ask sheepo himself? I was lucky bought 6 of them the other day off bricklink had to sell what was left if my soul though ;-) Now just the waiting to get it Edited January 22, 2015 by dougstar Quote
Captainowie Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 You could always use a couple of the old toothed connectors - that's what the #n connectors replaced, after all. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48324 Quote
Nalyd997 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 I was thinking of that, but they are only in light grey. The thing is I do not know where the other two are located in the model. Thanks Owen Quote
Balrog Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Would these be a solution? http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=86&itemID=888 Quote
rm8 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) You can also try pearl light gray. Difference is almost invisble. Edited January 22, 2015 by rm8 Quote
jovel Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 You can also use + . These things work with the same angles as angle-connectors and have been used in LBG in 2014 sets. In fact the combination of these can sit next to a beam and wil be able to place in any position. An angle connector wont fit all the time as the "pin-hole" part will hit the beam in some positions. Example: connectors good and bad fit by jovlem, on Flickr Quote
Osuharding1 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 + .These would be a great solution for red #3 connectors if this part is available in red. Quote
Blakbird Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 They are behind the fuel cap. You can't see them at all. You could substitute almost anything and hardly know the difference. Quote
Nalyd997 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 They are behind the fuel cap. You can't see them at all. You could substitute almost anything and hardly know the difference. So you only really need two then Quote
Blakbird Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 So you only really need two then Yes, you could use two and never notice the difference. Quote
Balrog Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Or you try shooting 8651 on eBay for small money. It is the only set that has it and the quantity is 6. As far as I can see, prices go from super cheap to super expensive ;) Quote
sdotcarter Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Seen a couple 8651's on ebay (usa) for around $40 free shipping, if you're interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Set-8651-Racers-Jumping-Giant-Monster-Truck-Dual-Pull-Back-Motors-Huge-Tire-/271736260273?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item3f44be46b1 Quote
Sheepo Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Blakbird is right, actually you only need 2 #4 LBG. Even you can change the #4 in the bonnet for a #3 and the result is not very different. Quote
Nalyd997 Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 On Ebay I found a bulk lot of them however, they are a clone brand. They are the exact colour but I am noto sure of the quality. Anyway I got 20 of them for $3. We will see how they go. Thanks everyone for all the help! Quote
