-zenn Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Bricklink has always been my help in searching for parts, sets and more... But now I'm kinda confused. I'm looking for this part in tan> http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=6081 It says it excist, at least 8 sellers have it. But it doesn't excist in sets... Only in the color dark tan. I don't wanna buy it, realising it's the wrong color and not using it. Any advice? Edited January 19, 2015 by -zenn Quote
fred67 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I don't understand the problem. You're looking for the part, and you found it (in tan); so what's the problem? Is it because they don't exist in sets? That happens quite a bit... TLG makes whatever is convenient for TLG to make for it's own displays, sometimes those odd colors make it out to other people, including some BL sellers. Quote

I didn't know that, thanks. So question solved; lock it up! Quote
antp Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 You can also contact the seller before placing the order to be sure it is the right part in the right color, that there isn't a mistake in his shop inventory Quote

I doubt those several folks have this particular item mislabeled, but it happens. In general this is good advice, especially if only a single seller has the part in the color you want. In this case, the only set that even had the Dark Tan is a 2015 set that I don't think is on the market quite yet, and that along with the fact that these are going for $5+/each on the low-end probably means that these are just from a non-retail purposed production run of that element.
