If you turn out scum, you can join the group of people who didn't do anything for town.

With 7 members left, the town will be in trouble.

As will be seen tomorrow, I am not scum and I don´t think town will be that lucky 2 nights in row to protect themselves against a hit.

So 5 will be left on day 8 or if there will be a day 8 that is said, that is up to how many scum there actually are left.

If you explained your PR claim, you might stand half a chance, but if you won't, the only assumption is that you were lying, so I feel no guilt. Even if you turn up town, I think our hands are tied. Your behavior is totally scummy.

Meaning: you are the reason you're being lynched, not any of us.

Ironically, even if I were scum, I would have done more for the town than you :laugh:

If we go Down that path and speculate that you are scum and who has done more for town!

Then you haven't actually done anything to benefit town. Because If I have done nothing and I Am not scum, you have just mixed town up with lies.

But if you are town, you have done plenty.

But I would like to know then, it you are town! What will you do tomorrow (if town hasn't lost that is), when people here are down to 5.

No more mistakes are allowed then!

Your fault you're being lynched.

In public, you asked once or twice about the watcher's results, and when I didn't share them, you wanted me to tell you in private, because you knew they were lying since they had watched me... which they hadn't. They had watched Hatley. Of course, someone coming to me expecting private information isn't going to get it. I asked you to share the info, you refused, and we put you on the back burner. You have shown no teamwork at all.

You would have been lynched if not for Bobby's bone-headedness yesterday. We're remedying that today.

You still refuse to explain yourself. If you were townie, you would have hours ago.

Good riddance.

I'm town, I still trust the town block. If us four are town, then town cannot lose. And the lack of scum kill last night points to them all being town. Only town was protected, and scum couldn't kill.

If you were actually town and knew something to help us and won't help, well, that's on you. It's unfathomable that a player can't understand that, but I have said more than once, you don't know how to play. You have basically proved it today. I actually didn't think you were scum all the way along, I just figured you were clueless. That's why I was happier to shift the vote to Bobby. The results of this lynch will tell us exactly how clueless you are.

Anyway, I wanted you to explain your PR claim, you won't, I don't want to keep spamming this thread. I'll try to bite my tongue unless something major changes.

But what, we have had such a nice little chat! And none other seem to have anything to say or add. Hahaha

This have been fun but everything has to come to an end.

And PS Siegfried, you are wrong about, atleast one thing in your last comment.

What solid new information? All Bob provided us with was rambling, wildly inaccurate conjecture that ignored any argument made by myself or Siegfried (Speedy).

I have a question for you. I've been peaking through the transcripts, and I took a look at the moment Gerald (Goliath) not-so-subtley revealed that he was the blocker. This was your response to his post:

I don't like fishermen and fisherwomen. They make me suspicious. Why were you fishing?

The above is from yesterday. Very sudden and very convenient, your sudden mistrust of Siegfried (Speedy).

This next question goes out to both Addie (adventurer1) and Lloyd (LegoSpy). Most of Bob's accusations hinged off either the harebrained notion that there is no vigilante or the idea that I was scum and I had faked the conversion message. It would be hard to go along with Bob's accusation of Siegfried (Speedy) without also being suspicious of me, since Bob grouped the two of us together as scum and a lot of his reasoning for Siegfried (Speedy) being scum relied on me being scum as well.

Yet both of you argued that I was most likely town, and that I probably didn't fake the conversion message. Why were you so selective about which of Bob's arguments you believed? To me, it looks like you were using Bob's attack as an excuse for getting a confirmed townie out of office.

Really? Your main reason for voting for Siegfried (Speedy) was because you were trying to ensure that a lynch happened? That's the most BS reason ever. Of course there was going to be a lynch, and voting for Siegfried (Speedy) instead of Bob didn't make it any more likely that a lynch would happen.

Ok, to clear up a few points for you, I'm going to assume you have been part of the town block from the beginning. All your above points are from that point of view. You know/knew things I didn't and never will. So my post were a made from being on my own with my own interpretation of people's post. I wasn't fishing for information from Gerald, I wanted him to either shut up before saying too much or share insight for the rest of us. Remember all I have to go on is what is said in thread, not private PM like you had.

I never had a sudden mistrust of our speaker, I always mistrust him. He knows this, I'm sure it has frustrated him in the past. I just hadn't voiced it yet in thread.

I was selective of Bob's points because its how I play. I don't have to go with an all or nothing on everything everyone says, do you? You seemed towny, Mr. Speaker's seemed scummy.

And now a question for you. Why now? You could have questioned me at anytime, yet you have been more silent than active this game.

Molly you are really getting on my nerve. You claim to have a PR yet when asked about it you just shrug it off claiming it to be difficult. Well guess what honey, nobody said it would be easy. Your complete lack of defence makes you come of as even more scummy and if indeed you happen to turn out to be Loyal I will not shed a single tear for you since you did absolutely nothing to help us Loyals.

I wouldn't necessarily assume that. Furthermore, ignorance generally isn't a viable defense. When Gerald (Goliath) made his remarks, I was not in contact with him and I had not known that he was the blocker. Obviously I was curious about what he knew, and frustrated that he was so brazen with his role, but I didn't try to fish for information. Usually, when I want someone to shut up, I don't tell them to elaborate.

When you say that you wanted him to "share insight for the rest of us," I can't help but be put off. That's more or less a euphemism for "fishing for information." In my experience, you only get as much out of these games... of life, as you put into them. As such, trying to get into behind-the-scenes conversations involves contacting people, not just waiting for them to contact you. In response to Gerald (Goliath) and his ill-advised claim, the townie thing to do would be to sweep it under the rug and publicly attempt to inundate the scum with information to throw them off the blocker's trail. Publicly fishing from Gerald (Goliath) is a great way to get the scum information about roles and night actions.

I will admit, that after taking a look over the Bobby vs. Siegfried argument yesterday, that changing my vote was a fairly stupid decision.

As for the reason I thought a vote on Speedy would help ensure a lynch... I'm honestly mystified at my own brain's capability to look at numbers and understand them... *huh*

It's not just about whose side you took, it's about your reason for switching your vote. If you had been honestly and completely convinced by Bob, that would be one thing, but you voted for Siegfried (Speedy) for a weak and mathematically unsupportable reason. You have already come under fire recently for not placing your votes correctly. If you really are a townie, you should be paying closer attention, especially when it comes to voting. As scum, it's very convenient to say that you simply screwed up your vote.

You know, Archie, it seems like you are trying to pick a fight with me. Why? Our playing styles are different, you probably have more experience than me, having played with more different people with more different styles. By not responding to him (Gerald) then I would have just kept quiet, not played the game, not even tried to help town, what type of player would that have made me? Lazy, not caring, not willing to help, completely useless.

Obviously you have never fished for, ask for clarification, requested more info, etc... from another player since you seem to be so offended by it. Asking in PM's only helps you, asking in the thread helps all the other townies as well. Given how Gerald was playing at the time, I thought he could go either way. If he really did have a power role, then he needed to stop talking in the thread. If he was bluffing, then everyone else would see it too. He could have been scum at that point. Sharing insight publicly helps all the town players, not just the ones behind the scenes.

I don't buy this. In one game, the first time we played together, you completely mistrusted me. That was just once.

In this game, it's all new. I have a hard time believing you maintained that lack of faith again seeing Stanley and Sinclair come up scum.

My suspicions are here: there is a possibility of a neutral in the game. What role? Who knows. Molly claimed a night action to me. I have a hard time thinking she would false claim one as scum at the point she claimed. I think she could be neutral. And that would make Addie the godfather, and Lloyd just drifting helplessly along as a vanilla townie.

I held the possibility that you were town with the lynch of Stanley and Sinclair. But things just didn't seem right, and yes I agreed with a lot of what Bobby was saying, call me stupid or foolish if you want, but it made sense to me. I even have entertained the idea that you are the neutral third-party, at least till Molly went total wacko for today. And for your thought on the godfather, can you really see me in that position, seriously?

Posted

Yup. I can buy that believe that Bobby was so hairbrained as to think that scum would bus two of their team, but I'm giving you more credit than that. If you want to be treated like a stupid player, you have to earn that sort of rep, like Bobby and Molly have. You haven't earned yet.

Godfather is a randomly assigned position, so I can see anybody in it.

Posted

I want to go back and amend that last statement. Addie used the word stupid, so in replying I used it as well, but that's not the tone I like to use. It's all well and good to say someone doesn't know how to play, there's an implication that they can learn. But to start calling people stupid, there's an increase in magnitude that I don't mean.

Bobby plays in a special way, but there is a chance to improve one of these days. When I thought he was scum, I thought he was playing rather well. As town, not so much. Molly? Well, it's hard to choose the right word for her situation. I tried to pass it off as a language barrier, but she denies its a problem, so...

But I don't think people are stupid for not playing mafia well. I rely on Occam's Razor style play, and it's bitten me in the butt more than once. Being over-confident that Bobby was scum is an example of that.

Posted

Mr. Speaker, those are some very nice words said. I agree with you and I shouldn't have used the word 'stupid' in my post. It could be taken the wrong way, in a way I didn't mean it.

Posted

A lot of people use the word stupid. I know I imply it a lot, so I guess I may as well have said it.

So, how about that weather? Kinda cold and dreary outside...................Guess I'll go get a cup of coffee as it seems no legislation will be discussed today........with no one here.....

Vote Tally

Molly Callaghan (Mencot) - 6 (Speedy, badboy, adventurer1, LegoSpy, Adam, TPRU)

Bjorn Borchard - 1 (Mencot)

~~~~~~~~~~~
With 6 votes, Molly Callaghan (Mencot) is impeached.
"I th-thwear..." a drunken Molly slurs, "it wathn't meee...!"
"Yeah, right!" someone shouts. "You're going down, Callaghan!"
yTRmdrb.png
Suddenly, a news crew bursts in.
"We're live as Representative Molly Callaghan from Brickshire is undergoing her impeachment trials! What was it this time - a sex scandal? Embezzlement? Watergate!? Stay tuned to find out!" says the reporter.
oNKkfr9.png
"What on Earth is going on..." the Speaker begins. Addie looks pretty confused too.
Suddenly, Molly has changed into an evening gown and is sober! How did that happen!?
"Oh, golly - cameras! I don't want them to catch me in something so casual as this~!" Molly sings, sloshing her drink.
JfP8kPK.png
"So, Representative Callaghan - how does it feel to be the worst person in the world? You must be if you're being impeached from a lackluster legislature like this! I mean, just look at it - there's only seven of you!"
"Well, I'd just like to thank the Academy..." says Molly.
"Wait, hold on, she's not the worst one!" Siegfried blurts out. "We've impeached lots more! And I curbstomped a guy! Interview me instead, I'm terrible!"
Tiny Peter is not amused with this tomfoolery.
"Will you follow up back to the studio for an exclusive interview with the literal real-world incarnation of the Evil Emperor from Star Wars? (That's you)." the reporter goads.
"Why of course!" Molly exclaims.
Everyone watches in awe.
"Well, that takes care of her." says Archie.
