So what do you think about this set?

I can't seem to find any other Hospital sets, and I need one for my town.

IMHO the 7892 is the worst City set in the 2006 line. :-X I really can't stand the look of that crapshack, and I advice you to build your own hospital from one of the Creator house sets, like this one:

MOC a hospital out from that, and add an ambulance and a doctor's car, and you're ready to go. ;-)

I do agree that the hospital does look a bit of a "crapshack".

Perhaps I will grab myself a creator set and build my own one.

Yeah; the thing I noticed is that the ambulance isn't big enough to transport an injured minifig.

Well its not realy a ambulance in the Hopspital set its like a smaller version of the Docters Car but i think the Helicopter is cool in that set but but why waste all that money just for a helicopter?

The only thing I like about that set is the box/stickers. It has the great shot at the back with a guy in bed with a graph attached. The graph shows a steady decline in health... Sad to say, I found that extreamly funny when I first saw it. :-$

Poomie save your money, brother. This is one of the worst designed sets I can remember in recent history. I don't know why TLC builds these monstosities on those silly baseplates. Why does the hospital have to be on a hill? It is also the least functional hospital I've seen them release. It's just a tower, It would make a better outpost or lighthouse. Get the fire station, it's awesome and a much better value because you're not paying for that baseplate mountain...

Funny, I cannot even remember this set...

But I think it would look cool if combined with other hospitals. Looks more like the office tower instead of the hospital part, but I guess every hospital needs some offices as well :)

Sure it is a tower but that just opens for more playability

After awhile it wasn't so much fun

However the vehicle garage was nice,it fits the ambulance perfectly

So I don't know wether you should buy it or not

I like it even thought TLG could have done a better job and it is overpriced

Plus its the first hospital we have seen in a loooonng time

wow, a lot of bashing of my favorite hospital, i agree with P on this one. sure it could have been a lot better, for one, minus the baseplate.

but the architecture is very reminiscent of US buildings from the 70's. and i happen to like the look of these mid-size office buildings from this era. they are very "mod." the hospital has the same feel, so i think the designer's captured the essence of what they were going for. also, this is an architectural era that LEGO hasn't really represented before, so that is pretty cool in-and-of-itself.

however, if you don't like US 70's architecture, i can see why this is very unappealing.

externally, the hospital tower is really sleek. the garage and landing pad are just silly, but they are for the kiddies anyway, so just mod those two aspects away. i think if the hospital would have been on a flat baseplate, the garage could have been designed to look something like the 2007 fire station... which has two excellent garages.

this hospital is actually my favorite recent city building... but i really don't like too many of the current structure offerings in the theme (the vehicles are great though)... i think MOCing is the way to go for AFOL cities.
