Mr Greeble Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Okay, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but here goes. How do you create those custom boxes that people us to make their creations look "real"? I know it has something to do with using a picture of another box, but that's it. Thank you! Quote
deraven Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Are you meaning a retail Lego box to make it look more like their MOC is an actual retail product? If so, then yes, it's generally just a photo of a real Lego product box, with their own model & info placed on it. Find a photo of a box that'll work for your MOC (right dimensions, angle, etc.), take photos of your MOC that could pass for actual product photos, then use a tool like Photoshop, Gimpshop, Pixelmator, etc., to remove the photography from the real box and place yours onto it, as well as replacing the text for the name, set #, part count, etc.. I've also seen folks print off sheets with the front and side views of their pretend product box art and then carefully glue them to a real box and then have that subtly in the background of their MOC photos which his kinda cute. :) Quote
Mr Greeble Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Thank you, that is basically what I thought, but I wanted to clear it up. Quote
