markwashington Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Hi all, I just wanted to say hello and thanks the admin for such a brilliant site! I've been a massive fan of Lego for as long as I can remember and it's always held a special place in my heart especially Castle and Pirate lego which were my undoubted favourites as a child. I've recently started buying up the sets I wanted (and never recieved) as a child and it's fantastic to realise that I'm by far and away not the only adult who still loves Lego! I work as a primary school teacher which basically means I get to talk about and play with Lego on a pretty much daily basis, along with the holidays it's a big perk of the job! My class has a massive box of lego I owned as a child and in it is a crazy assortment of late 80's and early 90's parts which the kids love as they make a change from all the Chima and Ninjago they're always talking about. In my class each child has their own Lego figure which is used to show whether they've been naughty or good! They move from green (good) to yellow (not so good) to red (very very bad) depending on their behaviour, it's great fun and I give the kids their figures at the end of the academic year which so far has been a big success. Hope you've all had a good weekend and I've attached a picture of the classes figures. The stand to the left is where the star of the day goes! Apologies for the mess in my classroom! markwashington Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Thanks very much, I actually found this guy in the big box of Lego: so I quickly took him out, I don't think the kids would appreciate his rarity! Quote
Mazin Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Wow, that's some interesting stuff. I'm just surprised that they want to wait a year to receive their minifigures, instead of taking them right away, and without asking Seems that they aren't naughty really? Anyway It's good to have You with us, welcome, and of course, have fun. There're some intreresting topics in Castle nad Pirate dedicated forums, feel free to make Your own discussions Enjoy! Quote
