usfighting Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Hello all I am very new here so please let me know if there exists a thread or infomation on this topic already. How do you stay on top of new elements brought out by lego? Is there a resource somewhere that documents all new elements/colours and the kits they are in as and when they are issued? I often find I miss peices for months until I see one in a Moc/review or buy a model. Staying current on new elements is quite important to the hobby for me so it would be really useful to have somewhere you can check each month for example to keep on top of it. I presume that LDraw has an uploader or something, perhaps something related to that? Many thanks Quote
antp Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 This blog is nice for new parts or re-colors of exiting parts: http://www.newelementary.com/ I do not think it lists every new part color though. On Brickset you can check parts by year to see what's new: http://brickset.com/parts/year-2015 (you can add filter on part type or color) Quote
MAB Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 New Elementary is great, although tends not to do all parts (esp minifig). You can also browse the BL catalogue by "what's new" and select parts ... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?sortBy=D&sortAsc=D&catType=P Quote
tkatt Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Brickset had an article on this very topic recently. http://brickset.com/article/13722/new-inventories-parts-and-instructions New Elementary is a highly recommended read. Quote
