xwingyoda Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 What is your favorite species (no humans)? Mine are the Neimodians This topic can really be interesting if you discuss it a bit further ;-) Imagine a SW neophite reading this, he won't have any clues ;-) Apart from my beloved wookiees, ther is another species I really like: Mon Calamari They are said to be the heart and soul of the rebellion because they provided a lot of warships to the Alliance fleet. Of course the most famous of them is Admiral Ackbar who successfully led the battle of Endor, which saw the end of the Empire, therefore restoring peace and freedom to the gallaxy *yoda* Quote
captaintau Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Bothans; great names, like "Borsk Fey'lya" etc. Quote

Yes the Mon Calamari are nice, much nicer than quarrens, and their ships never look alike, much like the wookie oevarr catamaran. Quote
Corvus Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Either a togruta (Shaak Ti), or Nautolans(Kit Fisto). I'm suprised no one has mentioned twi'leks. X-O Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I'm suprised no one has mentioned twi'leks. X-O Well I like the twi'leks, but mainly the females 8-| *wub* There are too many species that are awesome in their own ways for me to pick a single favorite though. There are still many molds for TLG to make before the license expires, that's for sure... Quote
Corvus Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 (edited) I like their weapons, very useful in assassinations my line of work. X-D Edited July 17, 2007 by Mr. Mandalorian Quote
Ras 74 Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I'm suprised no one has mentioned twi'leks. X-OOr just wait until or own Aayla sees this... *oh my god* My favorite is exept the Wookiees actually the Twi'leks as well. Also have to go with SW4J here... the females *y* *wub* Please TLC let us have a Aayla soon. Quote
Brainbox Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Well I like the twi'leks, but mainly the females 8-| *wub* Y'know, that's just what I was going to say. :-$ I suppose I kind of like Wookies as well. Partly becasue of their reliance of quasi-organic technology, and partly becasue they just are. Quote
Kahgarak Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I like either the Wookies, for their awesome steampunk technology or the Ithorians because they were there from the very first SW film, and eventually one was shown as a badass Jedi in Clone Wars (forgot his name). Quote
Brainbox Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 and eventually one was shown as a badass Jedi in Clone Wars (forgot his name). I looked it up for you, Roron Corobb. Is that him? Quote
yellost Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 YUUZHAN VONG!!!! They're the best. After all, they're the only living beings that are outside the Force... And on top of that, they actually come from another galaxy... *sweet* And I love this idea of living technology, it leads to so many great things... Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Well I like the twi'leks, but mainly the females 8-| *wub* Hmm...Oola and Lyn Me are good repasentatives (sorry the bad spelling) for that :-D . I like thoose with the pionty heads and necks, thoose with the three eyes (aka: Ask Aak), humans are good, max rebos speaces and Pua'an'. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 (edited) Lol flitwick, you spelled em' perfectly correct! Anyhoo, I love Devaronians. Not because of their devilish look, but because Vilmar Grarhk is awesome, entertaining, and a great bounty hunter. Btw, flitwick? Ask Aak is a Gran. ;-) Edit: Trandoshans are definitely my favorite species. Devs are cool, but the T'Doshok are better. 1st of all, the short fat slavers have accelerated charged particle(ACP) shotguns and dual knives, 2nd of all, the taller mercs have ACP repeaters, LJ-50 Concussion rifles, and grenade launchers, 3rd of all, the heavy mercs which are about as tall as a wookiee have heavy armor-piercing ACP repeaters and red scarves which make you think you're out west. Corvus Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 After all, they're the only living beings that are outside the Force... Would that make them athiests? Gurlanins are cool, just becuase they are. ;-) Shapeshifter on! Quote
Brainbox Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 YUUZHAN VONG!!!!They're the best. After all, they're the only living beings that are outside the Force... You know, you've just reminded me of another cool species, Ysalamari, who have the ability to repel the force by creating Force-neutral bubbles. Quote
yellost Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Would that make them athiests? Well definitely not, since they have a whole bunch of deities and gods for everything ... besides, the Force isn't a god. You know, you've just reminded me of another cool species, Ysalamari, who have the ability to repel the force by creating Force-neutral bubbles. the difference here is that the yasalamari uses the force to create its little bubble. The Yuuzhan Vong are just not in it... It's like they're not there... (hum, yes, I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to SW lore... :-P ) Quote

Corvus Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Well definitely not, since they have a whole bunch of deities and gods for everything ... Whoops, I forgot that... :-$ I was kidding about that, actually. I tend to stick to the the days before the empire. I'm a Mandalorian geek. Can you tell? X-D Quote
ghoulrealm Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 (edited) Do they have to be intelligent species? I like the opee sea killer best. My favorite humanoid race is Mon Calamari. I even like the look of the Gungans more than most species. It probably has something to do with their aquatic natures. Edited July 20, 2007 by ghoulrealm Quote
Lost Viking Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Although I'd love to give a Wookie a great big hug, I have to say that I really like the Bith. Quote
jifel Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 i agree with mr. mandalorian about kit fistos species but i also like ki-adi-mundis species jifel Quote
yellost Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I tend to stick to the the days before the empire. I'm a Mandalorian geek. Can you tell? X-D Well, they come back after the empire as well, since Boba Fett rebuild the clan sometimes between the rise of the new republic and the yuuzhan vong invasion. Quote
Corvus Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I know, but their glory days were before the Republic fell. Quote
