Tommy Styrvoky Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) I have eventual plans for a vehcle that will be using the wider 5 stud tracks, does anyone know or has the parts to test if there are any 5 stud wide ( roughly, it has to be larger than 4 studs wide) light bluish grey wheel hubs/parts that will hold the tracks in position and prevent them from escaping ? I know of the 5 wide sprockets, 40z gears, and 5 stud wide dishes, and spoked wagon wheels, but I don't own many tires and hubs, I think there may be one that will work. Milan Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I would like to know that either. We need to make tests to determine what wheels can be used with that tracks. Quote
DickesC Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) Look at the 14 rims on Sariel's Leopard 2. Do you mean this? http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=9&itemID=1551 I've rebuild this Leo 2 and the rims are working very well Edited January 5, 2015 by DickesC Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Look at the 14 rims on Sariel's Leopard 2. Do you mean this? http://www.bricklink...D=9&itemID=1551 I've rebuild this Leo 2 and the rims are working very well I knew about those, though if the rims are 49x28, does that mean they are in mm? It seems like they are too small, but I did do some experimentation with the 5 wide dishes in Bricksmith and got the look I wanted for the model. Though the only problem with the dishes is that they are connected by bars instead of axles. Quote
DickesC Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Yes, they are 49x28 mm You can mount some dishes outside on the rim. So you get the look you want and have the strenght from the rim... Quote
