We seem to be having alot of BIONICLE haters lately. I wonder if those in the SYSTEM fourms are plotting against us. :-P

Right, well I'm gunna post my opinions on each 07 set if anyone cares.

Toa Mahri

Kongu Mahri - Uh, well, flat body. The wideness would have been okay on an Earth Toa but wtf? And he's hunchback'd. I don't geddit with Air Toa. Actually, I suppose his Matoran form had a wide body and huge arms... Regardless, I think they could have swapped the designs of Kongu and Nuparu and gotten away with it. We'd get a Volitak in green as well, so as to make Toa Nidhiki. (I think Volitak is Nuparu's mask...) The mask looks pretty cool IMO, best part of the set. I don't mind the two Cordak Blasters, but they could have included a weapon that he can put on his back, preferably a real crossbow and not a squished one with a strobe light.

Jaller Mahri - Nice! As Helden said, he's Jaller Inika without suck. He has a plastic mask, a deeper body, and a taller body to raise the arms a bit so they don't go past the knees as far ( :-) ), a kickass sword, a kickass crab (with a stupid name), well, let's just say he's awesome. But he has a few minor flaws in any case, such as clawed feet which go against the hero look to a certain degree, his arms are about two studs too long, and his body is a bit hollow, however it's mostly covered up by the pipes and mask. Anyway, he's an awesome, herioc Toa, basically with the colours of Matoran Jaller but darker.

Hewkii Mahri - What the hell... is this a Toa of Stone or a Toa of Stoned Designers? Why don't they include a urinal stream and Toa Onewa's tombstone? They basically are letting lose on the memory of Stone Toa with this thing. Well, in any case he'll probably be fun to play with regardless of them calling this a Toa at all.

Nuparu Mahri - Meh. Boring. Basically the Inika without the fun bits. They made the body taller but they made the arms longer at the same time, which defeats the purpose. The mask is alright I suppose.

Hahli Mahri - Probably the second-best Mahri. The lime looks good but Hahli isn't lime... But anyway, the only thing that's actually wrong with this is the body, it's too short and has no armour, and she's a girl and all. :-D Wings are spiffy but lack more posability, although that's asking a bit much I suppose. But then, we thought asking for knees was a bit much. X-D Anyway, good Toa, good mask, good weapon.

Matoro Mahri - Well, he's hunchback'd. Otherwise okay, he has a nice design. The body could have used more armour and the shoulders could have been white. His mask is nice I suppose, though not the best of the Mahri's. He could have had sand blue instead of light blue as well. The claws are nice, and overall he's one of the better Mahri.

Barraki

Takadox - Best one. Glow in the dark, awesome weapons, awesome head, awesome colours... the list goes on... for about 30 seconds. :-P But still, he's very good, third best set this year. The only flaws are minor, such as some of the red "pricks" moving about and his "tail" moving up and down... But he has a good body design, he really looks like a mantis. I have a complaint about the squids though... they're too fun.

Kalmah - Hmm, well he's pretty plain I suppose. The head is the best part of the set, plus the bladed Hordika feet are cool. Flaws on this set being, no armour on his short body, the limbs look odd, the bulky squid armour plates look weird next to the thin Rahkshi legs, and the tentacle gets in the way of things, though it is cool regardless. Anyway, he's fun to play with, and I like him so :-P .

Carapar - Well he's not that good. Like Kalmah the head is the best part. The body is hollow, but the body armor wasn't actually intended for Carapar's torso, it was made for Mantax's shoulders. The limbs have too much grey in them, they could have added some more new parts in Carapar yellow, a.k.a yellow inside transparent dark grey. The Vahki legs don't go down to well with the smooth look of the rest of him, and the Inika legs as arms are weird; the knee guards stick out too much IMO. The claw is nice, it works well with the design and is good for grabbing Matoran. Overall he's a mediocre set compared to the rest of the Barraki.

Mantax - Is very nice. His arms lack muscle and are ASYMMETRICAL and his left harm holds the squid launcher retardedly because the forearm is a Toa Metru forearm. His body also has a large gap. But those are pretty minor except the bit about his left arm. >_> Anyway his good points are his head, shoulders, legs, basically everything except what I said just before. The claw is nice but not as nice as Carapar's. :-P

Ehlek - Another awesome set. This guy rocks almost as much as Takadox. The head looks cool, though I thought it looked weird when I first saw it in person. The spines are cool but there's virtually no body under them. His claws look nice if you make him walk on all fours like in the movie. Of course the lime joints break if you remove them :-| but I don't MOC much anyway and there's lime joints on other sets. Flaws with this set are, the body as I said before, the head sticks out a bit much, and the feet are too large for his legs. But he's awesome. *y*

Pridak - Erm... well, he's fun at least. Visually the worst Barraki IMO. The head looks large with the fins on it... why would he have shark have fins on his head anyway? They belong on his back... Anyway, his arms are pure white, which looks odd next to the large amount of black in him, which sucks by the way, they should have replaced the black with light bley as well as reconfigured the scheme of the legs. The legs are skinny, they could have put more armor on the thighs and replaced the Rahkshi legs with Piraka ones, because the Rahkshi ones are too skinny IMO. The feet suck, he needed Piraka feet. They could have given him real arms as well, I mean what the hell? A Toa Nuva leg attached to a double socket joint with a Pitoran blade on it? Genius. :-| The red looks weird, they didn't even use blood red, and they used regular white instead of Thok white. Bleh. Overall he's a good set regardless of his crappy appearance.

Gadunka - Aaah. I'm scared. Not. Well actually I'm scared this might be what titans end up looking like. Bleh. Well, he has good points, like the glow in the dark skull which may be useful depending on how big it is, and he looks kinda fun to play with. Overall I think he's crappy but I'll get him mainly for the parts.

Meh, I'll do more later, I'm bored. :-P

Where? BZP is down, and has been for a week and a half, Lugnet doesn't care about Bionicle (or anything that isn't whiney-mecha-builders), and the only other site where there's someone who can confirm or deny is MoD, and I can't see Greg supplying that info there either.

Who supplied the info to them I don't know, but I can't see either of them lying about this sort of thing.

As Echo said, a couple of BZP members heard that the Bionicle 2008 set list is fake, and some people here think that TLC's trying to cover it up via spreading fake alarms.

Personally, I'm not sure what to think. One the one hand, TLC seems to hate leaks, but on the other, I was a little surprised that the set list contained 3 Toa and 3 baddies. It's up in the air until pics surface, I guess. :-/

Greg has said that the set distribution will be different this coming year than it has been before. So that's one comment in favor of the names.

As for Swert, I've never trusted the fellow. Him and I had several AIM conversations years back, and while he would say one thing over IM, then say the exact opposite on-site. Suffice to say, I haven't really held his words in high regard since.

I have no opinion on E-T either way. He's done things I find irritating, but that's no doubt due to his age, not anything else. I'm probably far too easily annoyed.
