That´s good, you could be lying but as you and others said it would be very risk.

We move on for now.

You're going to move on from your absolute lack of reason to accuse me? Good call

But he is your buddie. ;)

No, it is good to poke him, it is true that Mr Davey has been very quiet and hasn't also done anything much.

You go on and poke him Mr Dixon, we'll see how he responces.

This is out of left field, but I have bad vibes:

vote: Pierce Davy (pirate Dave)

Here's another one that is flying pretty low I feel.

Vote: Archie Matthews (Adam)

:poke:

So when has this game become all about poking people

But it feels good, I will continue the trend. Maybe when looking back this day 3 could be remembered as the day of all the poking :poke:

I will

vote: Maurice Teichman - mostlytechinc

Why, he hasn´t been so much flying under the rader in the sence of not speaking. He has been vocal.

But not all he has said has a value of substance or pretty much anything, when looking over all he has said for the past 2 days.

He has been hard on hinting that Mr Dixon should be impeached (so has I and others) but it seems to be an returning subject in his comments.

This is a poke to see if Maurice is anything more that a grumpy old man.

It's totally worth losing one townie to catch one scum.

So, yeah, you're paranoid. There would be little reason for the scum to gamble my position if I were with them. I'm in no real danger of being lynched (do you think Molly and Hatley are going to lead the town?) and I hold the tie breaker vote as speaker. Sorry, but there's no chance scum would risk it.

Yep, absolutely worth sacrificing any townie to get a scum. 100% agree. I'd sacrifice myself if I could take a scum down with me.

And fine, I'm paranoid. I will concede that IF you were scum, you're in too good of a place to risk yourself. The odds would be long in my hypothetical scenario, which I WHY I said I basically believed you.

I stole Lloyds vote. I don't trust him, for bandwagoning on Hatley.

He can't speak for 24 hours.

Good. I'm definitely ok with that one.

This is out of left field, but I have bad vibes:

Got anything more? Just "vibes" now earns a vote from you?

Thanks for your approval, Molly.

Your welcome, Mr Dixon.

Now that you two are all good with each other.... back to the game :)

Fine. You poke, I'll reply.

Yep, grumpy old man here. Look at my grey hair. Duh. And dealing with all these Octan scum, of course I'm grumpy. But seriously, what more substance has anyone done? We've got no real facts going on and we're 0 for 2 on lynches and 0 for 1 or 2 on vig kills. So what more could I be doing? I'm throwing out ideas to see how people react at least. Most of the people here have just been having arguments with each other over nothing.

I actually am going along with this one:

vote: Pierce Davy (pirate Dave)

The entire discussion you had with Gerald rubs me the wrong way.

Vote: Bjorn Borchard (badboytje88)

Jumping on to a poke vote with no reasoning at all simply because someone else started it? You didn't give any reasoning behind this vote, simply saying "I agree with you, Speaker Dixon" and something about a conversation with Gerald that rubs you the wrong way. It looks to me like you're attempting to start a bandwagon by jumping onto a vote that has no merit (just vibes).

Posted

Bjorn's weak play is a worry too, from his poor accusation of me this morning, to him adopting Molly's phrasing of my vote being a poke. Isn't it well established Molly uses Velcro to tie her shoes? A person unable to tie a not can't be expected to accurately predict my logic.

No, it wasn't a poke, it was a vote.

Let me show you what rubbed me the wrong way:

That's a ridiculous assertion; low post count equals not scum and high post count does not mean confirmed town; that's just poor reasoning

While he is mostly true with this statement, at this point in the game it might be worth checking the post count and getting some less contributing members to speak more out loud. Couse simply by flying under you are not helping us eliminate the members of Octan.

Bjorn's weak play is a worry too, from his poor accusation of me this morning, to him adopting Molly's phrasing of my vote being a poke. Isn't it well established Molly uses Velcro to tie her shoes? A person unable to tie a not can't be expected to accurately predict my logic.

I must have missed this one... Where did I accuse you this morning? And what did I accuse you of?

To give credit where due - I do appreciate the honesty of our speaker in that he didn't claim he'd been proven loyal, he said he'd been investigated and found NOT-OCTAN. So there is still an opening there for him to be a 3rd party, but I do believe his claim to be not octan at least.

Posted

I'm doubtful that there is a third party with this low number of players, but if I were one, I'd not volunteer to put myself out in front on day one. Out front is the place for townies.

Very cool and calm answer. Is that grumpy old man just a charade? :sweet:

Unvote: Maurice Teichman - mostlytechinc

Then over to this guy, he seems to be the really grumpy old man, The Mr Dixon:

Bjorn's weak play is a worry too, from his poor accusation of me this morning, to him adopting Molly's phrasing of my vote being a poke. Isn't it well established Molly uses Velcro to tie her shoes? A person unable to tie a not can't be expected to accurately predict my logic.

No, it wasn't a poke, it was a vote.

I don´t really know then what a poke is, you have more experince so I believe you.

I had actually never heard of the use of poke voting before, say two-three games ago. And it can be with good case that it was you that enlighten me to it.

But if you mean this is a really vote and not a poke:

This is out of left field, but I have bad vibes:

vote: Pierce Davy (pirate Dave)

Then I have to say, where is your reason to vote for him. Bad vibes ain´t a really reason.

Atleast Bjorn gave somekind of reason for his voting.

I'm doubtful that there is a third party with this low number of players, but if I were one, I'd not volunteer to put myself out in front on day one. Out front is the place for townies.

Using this logic, all the ones staying in the background then are scum.

Man, scumhunting is easy... Why are we then down 5 loyal?

I'm prepared to tender my vote and one person has stuck out to me prominently over the last few days, he is Representative Gerald Hatley. The 130th comment on Day 1 really pinged my scumdar. Hatley conceded that

"I do believe there should be a lynching but there are still 3 people who haven't voted yet. I could change my vote because I do respect the fact that Addie has made better defenses than Carol has. I'm not sure what timezone she's in though so there's that to consider as well. Nonetheless, I still trust neither one,"

Hatley was a late voter and apparently made a gambit to stick on the minority candidate while conceding she had better reasons to be town than Nottingham? This seems like an attempt to obstruct an impeachment while sycophantically bowing to the majority's reasoning.

Furthermore, Hatley bandwagoned on Palacios yesterday after a majority impeachment had been reached. Thereby Hatley again attempted to reaffirm his allegiance to the majority by casting an inconsequential vote. (His vote was tenth, while eight were required to lynch).

Therefore, I Vote: Gerald Hatley (Goliath)

And Speedy casting a vote clinging to a vibe? Elucidate please.

Vibes are feelings people have. Robots can't get vibes, but humans do. Is that elucidated?

Alrighty, at first glance that seems legit, so let me think on it (out loud, cause it's more fun that way). 18 players. So I'd think 14 town, 4 scum? or 3 scum and a lone 3rd party? Probably too small for a larger third party like a cult or something.

So, solo 3rd party roles. Serial killer? Haven't seen any sign of suck. Survivor? Could be, but certainly not a role our Speaker would have. And doesn't really seem to fit in this scenario. Lyncher? Haven't seen much sign of someone really pushing for a certain person to get lynched.

My thoughts then? I doubt there's really a 3rd party.

I'm just curious here, when can Lloyd speak? And, Mr. Speaker, could you inform the rest of us when you use that power, instead of after I have called them out for being quiet? I'm also curious as to why you would take away Lloyd's vote, silence him for 24hrs because you don't trust him, and then vote for Pierce based on bad vibes?

Vote: Lloyd Spalding (Lego Spy)

His quick change of vote after the majority came in on the first lynch choice, poor voting format that resulted in abstaining just seems scummy to me. I really want to here what he has to say to defend himself.

I think, the speaker could only silence and take the ones votes that didn´t vote the day earlier. Like Mr Spalding was the only one yesterday that didn´t vote (or his format was wrong) and I and Carol didn´t vote on day 1, Carol was impeached, so mr Dixon choose me.

Mr Dixon voted out of bad vibes but I am gonna agree on this case and also vote for Mr Davy Dave:

vote: Pierce Davy (pirate Dave)

But not because of that he gives bad vibes but that he hasn´t been around here to comment at all this day and also I agree more with Mr Bjorn on the case between Mr Dave and Mr Gerald.

Mr Gerald feels like a total newbie and that is why he acts like he acts.

That's quite the conclusion but no, you're wrong.

He was already going to be impeached (lynched) either way. So, whoever I was to vote for would make no impact. Essentially, you could see my vote as a "wasted" vote. I'm a bit curious as to why you are no longer suspicious off Addie, though. You have been for the past two days but no longer, care to share?

I'd vote vote for Addie but, instead, I'll vote for:

Vote: Archie Matthews (Adam)

Mostly because of what he said about to loyalist role-blocker role-blocking someone last night. I know for a fact that the person didn't block anyone last night because this person told me himself/herself. Unless someone comes out looking like an Octan 100%, I think I'll keep my vote. I want to say my vote is a bit of a :poke: since I do want to hear more from Archie why he believes there was a role-block on someone last night but I'm getting a hunch.

Now that we're pretty certain Siegfried is not scum, I am interested to look back at the speaker votes from Day One...

Siegfried Dixon (Speedy) - 4 (Speedy, Mencot, Brickelodeon, Walter Kovacs)

Carol Nottingham (Calanon) - 3 (Calanon, Scaevola, Stickfig)

Archie Matthews (Adam) - 2 (Adam, mostlytechnic)

"Tiny" Peter Rutherford (TPRU) - 1 (TPRU)

J. Leroy King (jluck) - 1 (jluck)

Lloyd Spalding (Lego Spy) - 1 (Lego Spy)

Addie Tremain (adventurer1) - 1 (adventurer1)

Abstained - 5 (Bob, badboytje88, Goliath, JackJonespaw, Piratedave)

I can't imagine the scum would have wanted Dixon as the speaker, and they may have tried to avoid this by voting for a less experienced speaker. The votes for Rep. Nottingham have always puzzled me a little, now more so than ever. Obviously, the scum wouldn't want to vote together, but I wouldn't be surprised if either Stanley or Sinclair were scum. I'm more inclined to say Stanley, as the third vote is a little safer than the second, and because his reasoning was simply that he had a "bad feeling" about Rep. Dixon.

I believe the 24 hours of silence are now up, so I'll also be curious to hear what Lloyd Spalding has to say today. Again, Lloyd seems more interested in how his vote looks than who it is for. All his votes and unvotes so far have felt completely arbitrary.

Reps Davy and Hatley aren't the only people up for discussion today. Why are you acting as if you can only choose between them? It doesn't sound like you're particularly confident about either one of them.
