aminnich Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Hey guys, I am planning on building a cabover heavy hauler truck. I was planning on a 4 axle truck with a steerable axle. Now I am reconsidering a 5 axle double steer axle cabover truck. Do you think that would be too much? Something sorta like this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=500175 Edited December 31, 2014 by aminnich Quote
Milan Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 5 axle trucks usually have 3 steered axles. Two front and last one. Quote
vliet Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Have a look at designer Han's dumptruck with the 3 first axles steered and the third retractable. Quote
750ACE Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 The brickshelf link you provided is a modified version of designer hans 10x4 dump truck. Quote
aminnich Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 thanks for the input, I think I am going to do 4 axle, with one steerable axle and three rear axles Quote
