tmk81 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hi As the topic says is any one done c model of 42030? I don´t really like the b model of it and liked to try something else. It´s my first one with power functions and i like it very much. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I don't recall anybody making a C model of it, at least, not yet. I honestly can't think of anything good you'd be able to make with it either, unless you wanted to make a tractor, or something. Quote

Just replying to your comment on not liking the b model of 42030...If only Lego had included some panels to enclose the bed of the b-model, it would be great, but its a great looking front end with a skeleton in back...too bad really since it would have been fairly cheap I'm sure to design an enclosure of the bed similar to that of the 8264 Hauler. weavil Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I had been wondering that too. But looked all I can and found nothing. I too agree about the B-model too. It seems just for looks. In the last few days I was thinking if I can't find a C-model then why not make one! Quote
tmk81 Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 Yeah maybe few extra panels would make it litle better.. Maybe i stick to base model and buy something more. Quote
Rascko Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) I've tried to create an airport tug from it: But, as far as it was my first MOC after a long "dark ages" gap, results weren't too satisfactory for me: it had poor steering and cabin lifting worked not similar to any prototypes. Wow! Seems massive! I like it! Quote
tmk81 Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 That airport tug is looking very nice!! It´s very good idea to build something like that. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I might buy a second copy and see what I can build from it. Quote
Dalafik Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 That tug looks seriously powerful, well done! I can think of only one alternative model - a scraper. Take B-model as the basis, put the bucket in the middle and surround it with beams. It won't work as the real one, but should be playable. Quote
Foggy Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Can you provide some other pics of this tug? Quote
Rascko Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Can you provide some other pics of this tug? I've taken not so many photos, and now it's disassembled, because I'm building another MOC. Some photos below (under "spoiler"): Quote
ricotank Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 U could try to make the bed in such a way that you can use it for loging Quote
Ondra Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Better than nothing :D :D Better than volvo himself, ehm ehm. Quote
