As title says.. Is this really worth over a thousand pounds of my hard earned cash and what would be the most you would pay for a used complete one nowadays please ?

Its an amazing and iconic model but i wouldnt pay the sort of prices for it on BL or ebay. I'd wager money that it may be re released in modded form to coincide with the new SW movies next year but who knows. I'd rather bricklink it, still expensive but nowhere near the prices it is now.

Yep my thoughts really iconic model but I do think it's a lot of money what people are asking for it maybe I will have a look at the less expensive lego models out there of the MF . Seen one for £1200 on eBay

I don't think ANY Lego model is worth £1000. That's just my opinion.

If I were you I'd wait and see whether we get a slightly different version of the UCS Falcon in the next 12-18 months.

Even if it isn't exactly the same I'd hazard a guess that it would be pretty close and may actually be better with an interior... which 10179 didn't have.

I think it's definitely worth bricklinking one. If you don't worry about used pieces/old gray vs new gray, and you switch some light gray/dark gray color combos around, you can probably build one for around the original price. Mine came in at $750, but I bought all new pieces and wasn't very patient. Several people have posted some useful guilds on building one. It's a much more fun and rewarding experience to do it that way, imo.

Yea think I may wait and hope they bring out another fingers crossed.. I think the seller is holding out for more than £1200 so I'm out really.. I could buy a good few sets with that money but that's just me
