Paul B Technic Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Following on from my mini photo building review of 42028 B model, where I said that I was not that impressed with the standard attachment I have now designed and built a different attachment for the rear of this model, this is a road ripper attachment. These type of attachments are used for road works to rip up the road surface before it is replaced. This is raised and lowered using the knob on the top of the cabin. Below are some photos and a video of this. I have spent about 4 hours working on this over the past few days VIDEO - http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/mod-42028-road-ripper-attachment.html Quote
D3K Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Is it still built only from the parts included in the set? It looks better than the official B-model's attachment IMO! Quote
Paul B Technic Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Yes it is just from the parts of the set. Quote
D3K Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 It's a very interesting linkage you made to raise and lower the ripper, but is it just me, or does it not "push" the ripper into the ground? Quote
Paul B Technic Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 After some feedback online I have now made some changes to this and how it works. The road ripper now lifts straight up and down like real life machines do. Photos below: http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/mod-42028-road-ripper-attachment.html Quote
