Nazgarot Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) There seems to be much better movement of forks now. Good work. I'm excited to see what else you will do with the chassis. Is there a adder/subtractor mechanism, or similar to prevent vertical movement of the forks when sliding them horizontally? If there is, can you show us? I'm thinking of building such a mechanism for a tower crane, so it would be interesting to see it. -ED- Edited January 15, 2015 by Nazgarot Quote
efferman Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 The mechanism of a tower crane is exactly what iam using. The end of the rope is bound to the forkside of the sideloader. Then the rope is, guided by some wheels, routed over the fork tower, then to the winch on the driver side. Quote
Rishab N Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Nice progress so far. The rear looks very smooth Quote
Nazgarot Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 This is shaping up nicely. What battery box are you going for? And where are you placing it? -ED- Quote
efferman Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 this will be roundabout the setup Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 The technic side works very good, now only the finishing of it. Quote
PKW Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 i think You should make The movement faster, is it possible? You Will have more realistic MOC And also if you want To do a video it will be little bit boring :( anyway I really like you work And The mechanisms used in this Moc :) Quote
efferman Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 Faster needs a change deep in the central frame. Tuesday i know if i have the time for this. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Efferman I do like but I agree it needs to be a bit quicker. In my opinion you could have used racks and worm gears to slide the sled....or a LAs. Third choice chains! But again....this mocs looks great to me! Quote
efferman Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Tomorrow i know if i have the time for a revision of the loader. Quote
RSL80 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 That's a great looking model, just like the real one. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Now we are talking!!!  Quote
efferman Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 The second chassis Version is almost done. The frame is more stiff, the steering has now ackermann geometry but a bit less steering angle. Quote
PKW Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 really really really awesome *-* And it looks like The real one, are you planning To make a yellow cab? ;) Quote
