That would actually kind of make sense if it was some kind of water gun... of course then Lego would get sued by some up set parent, saying that their kid got confused and sprayed someone with a real fire extinguisher. :-D

it can spray water, as far as I remember ... it's an accessory for kids so they can play at being a fireman, along with the fireman hat / dressing up kit that Lego also sell. They do similar things for the Pirate Lines yadda yadda yadda.

For kids, this is probs a good little addition!
