Not sure if this is the correct forum... New guy here! Correct me if I`m wrong..

Here`s the situation. I built (digitally) a 12 sided tower using 1x4 plate hinges at the bottom. The problem now is that I`m not able to think of a way of building a roof.. Need help quick.. Thanks!

That's tinier than I thought :) have you tried attaching one of those 2 x 4 wedge plates in each section? The angle might be to shallow so maybe 2 x 3 wedges and then cover the middle with a 4 x 4 round plate.

It might also work if you place either a 1 x 2 tile or a 1 x 2 x 1 panel with the panel facing outwards on top of each section, and then mount a 8 x 8 round plate on top. I am not sure the round plate fits but the panels would sort of cover it :)

Both doesn`t work. Here`s a screenshot in LDD.. http://i.imgur.com/VMkTxTj.png

If my thumbnail trigonometry is correct, the inside diameter of your tower is just under 7.5 studs and the outside diameter about 9.5 studs. There are a couple round pieces that come close to fitting. One is this 10x10 dish:

This is a curved surface, and may not work for you. Another option might be this 8x8 tile:

which is flat.

To attach them, you could use some of these technic bricks with axle holes

If you put two of these on opposite sides of the inside of the tower a 7-stud axle would fit between them. You could then center two more of them along that axle to give you a 2x2 stud surface to attach either of the round pieces above.

If that's not clear, I'll try to make up an example with LDraw later.

Thanks! It works now..
