[HELP] Blinking frequency of Lego element

Hello,

A fellow LUG member of mine has a question regarding this element: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x543.

Does anyone of you know how fast or slow this element blinks? I guess you need to plug some light to it first ;) but the question is will this blinking be of constant frequency and if so, what is it? Or maybe you can control it. If so, how? Anyone know this? :)

You can't control it. You just plug it in and that's it.

The blinking is of constant frequency, about two blinks per second. However the circuitry is designed to run two 12V bricks, and any other combination will affect the blink rate, fewer bulbs means slightly slower blink. (I just tried it on mine to see).
