Sir von Lego Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Poah, look at the prices. We have the US$ prices and now the Quote
yellost Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 nice find Though none of it appeals to me... :'-( oh well, at least I'll be able to compensate for all the expenses of this year (mmmmh, I just LOVE that MTT... and there's still that republic cruiser to come... :-| ) Did they drop the Batman line? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted July 12, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted July 12, 2007 Thanks Christian for this overview! All my hopes are on the Indy sets. Too much police... Quote
Athos Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 What is Lego impulse? Are they small impulse buy sets? If so, I think they have great potential... Steve Quote
PocasNuckie Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Here goes my comments on this list - - Racers and Technic don't interest me at all. - Indiana Jones, neither. May get a small set just for the sake of having the MiniFig. - I for one (and bash me at will) am extremely happy with more Police sets, I am a huge fan of those, and I need new stuff for my forces (afterall someone must keep the LEGO's safe :-D ) - Exo-Force looks promising, atleast from the names. Could they be some kind of transformers with a robot mode (2 legs) and an animal mode (4 legs?). I for one don't know, but that would be very cool. - Star Wars, is the expected and what we already know. Too bad the set that interest me most, Rogue Shadow, is so expensive, but i'll try and grab it anyways. - LEGO Impulse. Yes, it definetly looks like somthing to buy off impulse. Now I have a reason to go more times to the supermarkets and all! *sweet* Pocas Quote
mutley777 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Sw, Sounds not bad, I hope the rebelset is with atleast 2 hoth rebels and 2 snowtroopers. It does not look like the rebel pack will contain any imperials. The drop-ship and rebel speeder are about the same price as the first wave of battle packs so i guess they will just be 2 made up vehicles and 4 minifigs. Still sound good to me though *y* . Quote
Brainbox Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Did they drop the Batman line? According to someone (sorry, I forget who) over in the Theatre section, there will be '08 Batman sets. Perhaps they're just not Jan assortments. Interesting to note that the Star Wars Battle Packs have been given names other than '______ Battle Pack.' EF sounds interesting, and I'd like to know what this Impulse is. Perhaps it's deodrant :-D Obviously we knew about Indy, so nothing surprising there. And a new police station, nothing new there. Quote
casewindu Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I can not believe they are bringing out more new police sets, and just when i thought city was going somewhere! >:-( I suppose I need a police helicoptor so I might get that onw ;-) Next year sounds good but it would be hard to match the sets from this year! Yet I am looking forward to the new Indiana jones line and the new star wars sets. Quote

I still hope there will be then a Snowtrooper battle pack, with 2 in the hothbase and one in the At-At it doesn't make much sense |-/ . Although I will be happy with 4 Hoth rebels (maybe different faces) :-) Quote
mutley777 Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I still hope there will be then a Snowtrooper battle pack, with 2 in the hothbase and one in the At-At it doesn't make much sense |-/ .Although I will be happy with 4 Hoth rebels (maybe different faces) :-) Thinking a bit more about these new battle packs i think (pure speculation :-) ) the rebel pack might not even be hoth based. :-( If you think about the first 2 packs they were both pictured in all the lego catalogs fighting against each other. So if the imperial pack contains 2 stormies and a tie pilot there is good chance it could be a endor or tantive IV pack! 8- Quote
Hinckley Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Well I liked it. I don't care what you think. I wanted a lot of policemen and many of the "bad" parts I had none of, such as the base, the <insert that tiresome argument> chopper parts. I also had none of the bay window parts. Hey!!! >:-( That's my opinion you've hurt. :'-( You're a <insert that tiresome argument> chopper part! And to think I was going to bake you brownies in one of these... ...and ship them to you, with root beer, on a paddle steamer captained by a walrus. :'-( :'-( Well, you can forget it! *sing* I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now. BTW, to stay on topic, that would be hilarious if Impulse sets were for impulse buys. I can just see vending machines full of them or supermarkets checkout lanes with LEGO Impulse next to the Inquirer! :-D :-D :-D I can't wait to see that EXO-Force river serpent. I hope it looks more organic than Bionicley yet not too <insert that tiresome argument>. Do you think that's possible? ...and Sinner, :-P Quote

He upset one of our most sensitive members. Tsk, tsk :-P I for one have a crazy idea about the impulse sets. Maybe they are just tiny intros to themes for kids to get that aren't too expensive. Quote
Piranha Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Thanks for the news :-) *y* This is very interesting indeed The SW and Indy sets are a must buy especially the Rogue Shadow(That is #1 on my most wanted list for next year) I hope they are just as great as past SW sets like the New MTT :-D 8- Quote

That sinner is a bully. :'-( Thanks lego2000 for standing up for me. :-P The Impulse sets appear to be mini-figs with some utensils. Spatulas and what not. Quote

That sinner is a bully. :'-( Thanks lego2000 for standing up for me. :-P The Impulse sets appear to be mini-figs with some utensils. Spatulas and what not. Athos Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I've gotten so used to not seeing Castle on these lists, I didn't even think to register my disappointment with the lack of new Castle sets in the line up... LEGO Impulse 5611 - Street cleaner/scavenger EUR 2,99 Scavenger, eh? I wonder if that mean's we'll get a hobo digging around in a trash-can... Steve Quote
Hinckley Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I am shocked X-O You forgot to mention the most highly desired utensil The awesome Lego Ice cube tray :-P Piranha Sorry I meant mini-fig scale utensils. Thanks Piranha for always appreciating my jokes! X-D Quote
Piranha Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Hehe No problem :-) Ya.... um..... see in you sig whats that your holding? :-D Okay back to topic Those impulse sets sound interesting and as Athos pointed out the hobo looking for pennies in a dumpster Probably include trashcan a mini in overalls and a cat or dog Piranha Quote
highlandcattle Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Those impulse sets sound nifty, they look like an exact copy of Playmobils Special range, with the only difference that whilst playmobil always has orignial figurines (jazz player, plummer with toilet, golf player) lego gets A good magician, knight construction worker fire guy,... jeeps how many fire guys can one own? Quote
5150 Lego Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I was kinda disappointed to learn that they would produce police sets again... City has so much potential for other sets such as shops etc. You have to remeber that TLC has to keep everyone happy. What do you think that will sell/kids want more? A bank, or police station? And since we already got Cafe" corner, and Market street lego already took care of the "shops" for now. I for one am really looking farward to the new police lineup. But the big ones for me will be technic. Already pre ordered my Bulldozer! Quote
