SpokaneSteve Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Hello all: I thought I would share my take on the GP 38-2. Many people have made one and mine is fairly derivative. I spend some time looking at Swoofty's and Kai's when I made it and you can definitely see their influence. It has a power functions motor and a custom battery pack and switch. It's a good hauler due to the weight provided by the 6 AA batteries. The stickers came from JopieK. Thanks much. More pictures here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=550547 Cheers, Steve. pirzyk Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 So I am interested in the custom battery pack, how did you make it < 4 studs wide? I wound up doing a PF GP-38 but made it in Santa Fe Red and Light/Dark Gray. Very nice job. Quote
SpokaneSteve Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 The battery pack is actually 2 studs wide by about 2.5 bricks tall. It looks like this: Google battery holder 6 AA and you will find them for sale. I took 1/2 a PF extension cord and soldered it to the press-fit connector that you see here with a switch inline as well. Cheers Steve. Quote
