zephyr1934 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Branching off of this thread into a new topic, My suggestion on that front, then, would be to make a custom LDD parts selection (The guys in the LDD section of the forum know how to do this), this would allow people who use that theme to make sure they are building strictly with the parts that will be included in the set. There are a lot of talented train builders in the community, If you can find some other builders who would be willing to play with the set parts digitally and make their own models using strictly the parts from the sets, you could start getting ever more exposure through them. and Fantastic! I found the custom UserPalettes thread and created the "UserPalettes" folder (Mac OS) and saved the parts LXF file for SMSPTB. http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=78072 I have long thought that it would be wonderful to have a part inventory for the currently available lego train sets to use in LDD and see if the AFOLs could come up with something better than what comes in the box. There could even be the possibility for a competition for the best MOC from a given train set. Quote
Frank STENGEL Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 There could even be the possibility for a competition for the best MOC from a given train set. Great idea! Making alternate models from a single box is what Lego was about when quite a while ago I was a kid... When I browse brickshelf, I often see very nice alternate builds for some creator sets such as 31012 (family house) or 31026 (bike shop and café) Quote
dr_spock Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Over in the LDD forum, they have recreated various LEGO sets into LDD like Constitution Train Chase, Hobby Train, etc. Would any of them be useful to turn into custom palattes? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226entry727293 Quote
