Doctor Sinister Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I had a delivery from S@H today - amongst the many boxes was my order of set 9247 - Community Workers. So I put the minifigs together, and immediately unmounted my passenger plane hanging above Tabletown and swapped the co-pilot I had (ironically, from an earlier version of the Community Workers set), and the air hostess - for minifigures with the same colour trousers and caps. Yes, I replaced the MFs with ones wearing the same uniform as the pilot. Note that this will NEVER be seen by anyone else - as the plane is now hanging above Tabletown once again. Is this going too far? Do I need help? Dr. S. Quote
Hinckley Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Do I need help?Dr. S. No more than the rest of us... Besides, I think you've shown a great deal of empathy for those mini-figs. That's a long time to go with out a break. It's a smart move too, because if you didn't give them some vacation time, they might form a union and strike. Who needs help now? :-P Quote
oo7 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Lego is about FUN. Do whatever the hell you want as long as you enjoy doing it. *sweet* Quote
Brick Miner Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 not at all, i do stuff out of principal all the time. sure no one will see it, but i know its in there. here is a good example, in my case... its kinda like when i put 12 gold coins in a treasure chest instead of just the standard assembly of 4. sure chest is closed, and it really doesn't matter if any coins are in there at all, but out of principal, it just wouldn't seem right... i know how many are in there, and the more that are in there, the more that chest is worth. so its a good way to represent wealth, the more coins the more valuable, even if none of it is seen in "display mode." - BM Quote
Siegfried Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Is this going too far? Not at all! I, for example, don't like space ships that have no entrance. The first thing I did with my Slave 1 and Imperial Landing craft was to re-design them so the men inside could get out. It if matters to you then it matters! :-P Quote
Norrington Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Do I need help?Dr. S. Pull your self together man! *Slaps Dr.s* No, you don't need help. All you need is a good tile scrubber and everything will be fine. Now, go to the hardware store and buy tile scrubber. ;-) J/K. You're fine. Just have fun with it!... Just not too much After all; F is for fire, that burns down the whole town; U is for Uranium... Bombs; N is for No Survivors, no suvivors at all, when you mess with FUN! Yeah! X-D Quote

zouave Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I wanted to buy community workers but I spent my money on other stuff. |-/ Quote
Brainbox Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 No problem at all. If you're MODing a set, and don't like the cockpit, would you leave it un-MODed because no-one will see it? No, you make your corrections. It's the same here. And you never know, someone might ask sometime "can I have a look at the inside of that plane?" And you can say "yes" safe in the knowledge that it all matches. Well, you never know... Quote
Siegfried Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 As an additional bit of sadness, I added a radar in the nose of mine! Quote

PocasNuckie Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I feel your pain. I pass a lot of nights, just taking the Clone Pilot in and out of my V-Wing Cockpit, like 100 times, before going to sleep. Open Cockpit - Take Pilot Off - Put Pilot In - Close Cockpit ... and this for a lot and lot of times ... I for once need help too ... :'-) Pocas Quote
Corvus Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Why are you asking US if you're perfectionist? You should know that all the people who will reply to you are also perfectionists. :-D I always go out of my way to make sure that everything is in the right place. I absolutely HATE it when people move stuff because its in the way. It has to be THERE and I will go crazy if moved... My family knows this, but for some reason they don't honor my wishes. :-D Quote
