THE-FORCE Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I now the price!: 140 euro! And it comes out in october! I now this because I mailed lego. Quote
Clonie Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 How much is 140 Euros in USD or, preferably, AUD? Anyone? Quote
Siegfried Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 How much is 140 Euros in USD or, preferably, AUD? Anyone? Well in Germany the MTT is 130 Euros, and we (I am Australian) are charged $180 AUD, thus it could be about $200 AUD.... but it generally isn't that simple. Some sets are a bargain, and others are a rip-off. The Hyperspace ring, for example, is a rip-off. Quote

Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 The USD I think is 100 dollars at the most and I do not care for snowtroopers or galactic marines or whatever they are. I shall replace them by B! battle droids taken by the Confederacy. Quote
casewindu Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 WOW! its better than I first thought. Im glad it's not too much different from the last one due to the fact taht I didn't get it. could be more stormies though and no Luke! ;-) Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Well, this is indeed what I expected. The driver looks like a poor cross between the AT-ST pilot and Veers, if not in entirety the AT-ST pilot. Anyways, it's a good way to get four neat figs, although more snowies would not be unhealthy. I guess there's no room to room them in the hull. The AT-AT pilot is cool as ever, and since I got the 2nd AT-AT and the first, although the first isn't really a first, I won't be getting this one. However, if the pilot is unique I will see about getting him. Otherwise, I like it but to be honest, it shadows a lot of the first one. Quote
dunamis Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I was wondering that myself; is it remote control, wired control or you just turn it on or off? Also, it looks like no speederbike, but the head looks wide enough to put both minifigs in. Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I sure hope there is room in the body of the beast, I just returned from Staples and bought over thirty dollars worth of stickers to customize it and put it on the At-AT with the Confederate logo. *vader* *vader* Quote
mutley777 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 After seeing this picture of both AT-AT's, it made me realise just how good the first AT-AT really was. All of a sudden the new one does not look so good :-/ Quote
sam89 Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 I think the new one looks good though. The old one is more accurate, but the new one walks! I'm considering getting it, even though I already have 4483. Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 The new one is more accurate and I don't like old colors. Quote
mutley777 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 The new one is more accurate. WHAT! Are you blind! have you even seen the films! :-D Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 WHAT! Are you blind! have you even seen the films! :-D Yes, over 60 times each, at least. Huge Star wars fan, and I think the new one is more accurate. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 For the record, I think the old one is more realistic. I particular the new one is missing the hump. However, my main sticking point will be the price... Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 After seeing this picture of both AT-AT's, it made me realise just how good the first AT-AT really was. All of a sudden the new one does not look so good :-/ That's a great comparison, thanks! While this could have been worse, it could have been better too :-/ The legs are too spindly (not armored enough). There are the EXPOSED INSIDES of the legs, which is just inexcusable and will get fixed as soon as I get it (if I get it). As sinner mentioned it's missing the characteristic central hump, so it looks much less realistic, and even the guns are too long and thin! Until I had seen that side-by-side comparison, I had forgotten how much better the original was :-/ Not to mention it came with another snowie and a speeder bike Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Well, it seems I think I am the only one who likes the new one better :-D I truly think that the outside of the leg on the new one is skinnieer which is more accurate, otherwise, starwars4j does have a point. But we all know that the new one is cheaper :-D Quote
Hinckley Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 For the record, I think the old one is more realistic. I particular the new one is missing the hump. However, my main sticking point will be the price... It is missing the hump! 8- Quote
Hinckley Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 It is nothing that can't be fixed however. It is Lego after all! Sometime I think I secretly prefer models that are flawed so I can have fun tweaking them. Will this do? The body does need to be lifted, and it needs it's hump back, but that is good news; it means that it is possible to modifiy it so there is more internal room! Thanks Sinner. It's just like they always say: "You can always count on your new internet Australian LEGO friend to carry your nerdy for you when you've grown too tired to carry the nerdy yourself." Ah, words to live by :'-) Thanks Sinner, you're a real pal... :'-) Quote
Stauder Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 But if the legs are moved down youll have trouble attaching the motor... Also I wonder if theres space inside... Quote
mutley777 Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 I think my main gripe with the new AT-AT is that the legs are not under the main body but are sticking out the side! :-D Quote
