Sir Dillon Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 It's much better than I thought it would be, but I still don't like it that much. I have the original AT-AT, and while this is cool that it walks, I'll almost definitely pass. Quote
WepneX Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Yeah, I'm definitely gonna pass on this set. I've got the last AT-AT and it doesn't look like they've really improved on that design. Those legs just look so skinny for some reason... Anyway, I'm sure this will make somebody who didn't have a chance to grab the last one very happy. Sorry, a motorized AT-AT doesn't do it for me. More snowies might've been a good start, though. Quote
yellost Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Mmmm... nope... I don't like it much... I love the previous version and I think this one is a bit of a step backward design-wise... Well, ok, it walks (though I'm curious how THAT will look...) I'll definitely pass that one. Quote

Starwars4J Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) Oh well I'll still get it for $75Piranha Last I heard it's $50US :-P And by the way that's NOT Veers, it says "Imperial ____" under the fig... Edited July 9, 2007 by Starwars4J Quote
SWMAN Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) AT-AT :-) Pretty cool, but I want more figs. At least one more snow trooper, 2 rebels, and a turret. But, I am glad it looks like the one they made a few years ago and not the Mindstorm one that was just a bunch of technic pieces. Edited July 9, 2007 by SWMAN Quote
mutley777 Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 AT-AT :-) Thanks very much Piranha!! Well i must say it is better than i expected :-) The legs are a bit skinny but other than that it looks ok. Can't wait to see it walking! I hope they have it on display at celebration europe! Quote
sam89 Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 I've uploaded both pics to my Brickshelf folder now! Quote
Piranha Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Last I heard it's $50US :-PAnd by the way that's NOT Veers, it says "Imperial ____" under the fig... 50USD!!!! I'll buy 4 >:-) Thats dirt cheap, a steal *sweet* However it might go up but I hope it dosen't :-D Hoth is more pricy than that :-D Where did you here the price from? BTY:No Problem, Mutley777 I always save the New set images so I can look at them later :-) or if Lego sees we have found out and removes the images immediatley Piranha Quote
mutley777 Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Last I heard it's $50US :-PAnd by the way that's NOT Veers, it says "Imperial ____" under the fig... I'm not so sure you are right there starwars4j. After zooming right in on the writing of the second part of his name, it looks like veers to me. Could that be that i want it to be so dam much? Well maybe :-D I've uploaded both pics to my Brickshelf folder now! Another amazing find sam!! How does he do it :-D Quote
dunamis Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Looks better than I expected for a walking AT-AT. I'll reserve final judgement until I actually get it in hand... Quote
Hinckley Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Another amazing find sam!! How does he do it :-D Someone told me once that he lurks in the shadows... Quote
Order66 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 OMFG THAT IS AMAZING!!! I already fell in love with it it is EXTREMLY CrAzY news!!! Only one Snowie but.... we are getting a hoth battle pack + the hoth base so we will have plenty of snowies before this baby comes out... WOOT AT-AT ON! Quote
Siegfried Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I love it. *wub* It is just what I wanted. Additionally, I don't have a good Luke (or a AT-AT) yet so it is all good for me. I did buy 2 of the Dark Side development kits (100 USD retail, I paid 20 AUD for them!) but they were too spindly for my liking. (The micro scout sux too.) This looks like a beefed up version of that. All I have to do now is wait for the Australian price... I strongly doubt that it is only $50 USD. That is the price of the Hyperspace ring and that has only two figures and no motors. I would guess at least $75, if not $100, but I hope I am wrong. Quote
Asuka Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I felt a little timid about that, but it looks indeed much better than expected. If the price Quote

Starwars4J Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 There probably won't be a ucs version because, unlike, the AT-ST, it is quite large at minifig scale and we don't need expensive oversized models. Exactly right! I mean a UCS AT-AT? What's next? A UCS Millenium Falcon? :-| :-P Quote
RoscoHead Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I've waited all my life and finally I've fallen in love. *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* *wub* It's so beautiful. :'-) :'-) :'-) :'-) I can't wait to see how it walks. Looks like the walking mech from 9754 (which works reasonably well). Quote
Clonie Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 ... Bloody awesome. I'm not bothered by the amount of Snowies (or lack thereof), since as Order66 said, we'll have the Hoth Base and Battle Pack to compliment this awesome set. I'll try to get another Pilot for it, unless it can only fit one of them like the AT-ST (though it will fit Veers). Quote
badgerboy Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 OMG! I think I'm going to have to beg, plead and pick up all the copper coloured coins I see... After this year's sets that are already slated... the UCS falcon etc. etc. How the hell am I going to afford this definite need! In the 'other place' they are speculating on a 120-130 euro price point - I doubt that this "little" beauty will slip in under 150! The motorized bit will make that RRP soar! think how much the creator dino is... Quote
JoeMI6 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I quite like this, and while more figs would have been nice, it would jack the price up more and more, which isn't always the best. Motor functions - I do not like. An unnecessary addition which just hikes up the price some more. I doubt I'll be getting this, even though it is another chance for me to get an AT-AT. I'm betting it'll be north of Quote
baby Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 It's a 2007 set. October/November release. What the heck?! So fast? How im gonna collect my money that fast? Last I heard it's $50US :-PAnd by the way that's NOT Veers, it says "Imperial ____" under the fig... Impossible it gonna be 50USD. I think it cost 100USD or maybe more because even the Creator Monster Dino cost USD90 or even the Ferris Wheel Costing @ least 70USD. I bet that this set will cost more than 100USD. Anyway, this new set is like lack of speederbike. :-| Quote
