Got all 3 sets at Legoland windsor yesterday. Having now completed the build of all three, more pleased with the Cement mixer than the Recycle truck, I notice they are not a great fit within the new service station. (Too tall and too wide)

On a more positive note the Cement Truck and Recycle Truck were only

Our very own Yoda posted reviews of the Service Station, the Cement Truck and the Garbage Truck, and he also posted pictures of them inside the service station. In short, yes they fit, but they are quite a tight squeeze. Here's a picture:

Thats right! I'll have to figure somthing out when i get mine. I've built a few 8 wide trucks that will need to be fueled up before there long trecks!

They shouldn't fit in gas stations. Real cement mixers and garbage trucks don't. The new 6 wide and 8 wide trucks are more realistic than the 4 wide of old.

They do in the the States. They generaly don't fill up in regualar gas stations, but they will fit just fine. The full tractor trailer semi's ussually need to fill up in truck stops or stations spesifically designed for them. I really wish lego would come out with a truck stop. Complete with gas station, truck wash, parking for the trucks, and a little cafe'/ restrant Now that would be sweet! *y*

I agree. A truckstop would be cool. Or a Diner

I'd be all over the truck stop if TLC put one out. Better yet: they could even begin a whole new line of licensed (or unlicensed) semis with complimentary trailers. I think that'd be pretty tight. Maybe a Coke or Pepsi rig and trailer?

Great idea! How sweet would this be as an Octan tanker??? X-D

I would love if lego stated releasing semi's. Box trailers, low beds with wide load equipment, doubles and rigs with large sleepers.

Lego has been around for quite some time now you know. There are quite a few sets already produced.

I really enjoyed putting the 7993 Service Station together. In fact, this is probably my favorite set of 2007. I only saw two problems. First, why is the sign with the prices on the ground? Is that how it is in Europe? And second, why is the door on the front of the building, right where a car would be parked getting gas? I did a little modified version of the set, to bring it more in line with the size of something like the Big Rig Truck Stop. I didn't fix the door problem because I didn't want to tear the building apart to change it, because if I had taken it apart I probably just would have torn the rest of it down and did a completely different MOC gas station using mostly the 7993 parts. I did fix the sign issue, though. Also, the 4-wide truck is modeled after a truck from the Big Rig Truck Stop, as sort of a way of paying homage to that set (which was one of my favorites as a kid).

I have all of these sets, but the service station I have to wait till Christmas to open! :'-(

The recycle truck is in my opinion better than the cement truck, which looks a bit empty apart from the cement tank.

A truckstop would be great, I hope to see TLC be smart and realise that since vehicles sell well with kids, then buildings that involve vehicles will too! ;-)

TTFN! >:-)
