ZNAP in Technic ?

I have seen few GBCs contraptions that use a mix of both snap and technic and yet, within EB, there is hardly any mention of znap. Granted znap is no longer made/sold but it has some interesting parts and one can make large structures more 'effectively' than with Technic ... Any thoughts on this or, are you aware of mixed znap/technic MOCs ?

Only the flex shafts? .... How about the plastic parts as well?

BTW, the shafts are 'solid' in one direction only. I broke 3 of them when I tried to spin the opposite direction. Essentially the coiled wire unscrews itself from the plastic, especially during high torque.
