Yeah, Beaver Tails are awesome. Go skating down the Rideau Canal in Ottawa (The world's largest skating rink - but that may change due to global warming :'-( ) and you'll find little shacks selling these pastrys - sugar on a gluten-based bread, topped with anything from Smarties (a Kingston specialty) to strawberrieds (exclusive to Mont Tremblant skiing resort in Montreal).

I'm from Germany. Oh well exactly from the munich region in southern Bavaria. So`I'm not too far away from the alps. Just 50km-80km north of them and just 100km to austria.

Now that's it

that's the christmas market. Only thing missing at the moment, due to warm air, is the snow (not my pic)

Not to mention the Olympic stadium from 1972's summer olympics. (viewed from the 291m high olympic tower (pic taken Mid-march 2007)

The skyline, far south only visible if there are Foehn winds ;-)

And Munich is the only mayor city in germany (over 1 Million population), where you can go cross country skiing in most of the winters, if there's enough snow. However custom trails, but who cares. DOn't want to move away from here
