iamded Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) So what's your favourite Lego Dragon? The classic Lego dragon, the Viking's style dragons or the new Castle Dino Attack style dragons? Classic Lego dragon: Viking's style dragons: New Castle Dino Attack style dragons: Mine would be the Vikings style dragons, because they're very posable, and great for displaying. Just becasue they're not printed. If the new Castle dragon's arms and legs were as posable as the neck then I'd go with that, but it's not, so Vikings it is! P.S. Sorry for the bad pics, I'm tired. :-P Edited September 9, 2007 by iamded Quote
Shakar Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 This is my favourite dragon Lego ever made (thanks to Bricklink for the pic): Shakar Quote

Siegfried Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 My favourite is the green Viking dragon. P.S.S How do I add a poll?? :-( Am I missing something really obvious here? I believe that power is bestowed upon you when you are promoted next; 52 posts on! Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm not an expert in dragons but I guess in my opinion the third one in the first groups of pics in the best as it looks the most mobile and has a fair number of pieces without looking too bit-made. Quote
Asuka Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Thumbs up for the new Castle one for me. Nice size and appearance. *y* Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Major thumbs up for the Viking dragon. I really like its design, and it's poseable. *y* *y* *y* *y* *wub* Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted July 6, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) Added a poll. And I've edited the first post to have the pics in the same order as the poll choices. My vote went to the viking style dragon. They are the most developed of the 3 dragons. Edited July 6, 2007 by bonaparte Quote
Vader Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Well i went for the viking dragon, simply because i like the fact that you can place it into different postions and looks far meaner than the rest. Quote
El Bucanero Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) Viking's style dragons: New Castle Dino Attack style dragons: I'm sorry but isn't it the other way around?* Anyway, my favorite would be the viking dragon, because of its moveability, and its vicious look. Mr Tiber *EDIT: Mr Bonaparte beat me to it! Edited July 6, 2007 by Mr Tiber Quote
oo7 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm sorry but isn't it the other way around? Nope, looks good. I too prefer the brick-built-ness of the Viking Dragons. The limited Bionicle doesn't bother me much. Quote

Starwars4J Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Definitely the vikings dragon. While the older one has nostalgia, it just didn't look realistic enough and wasn't very poseable. The new castle dragon...looks like it's from a Megabloks set :-X I found the viking dragon to be a nice compromise of large pieces and articulation. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I voted for the Viking dragons. While the classic dragon will always have a special place in my heart, the viking dragons are bigger, meaner, and more poseable, which puts them ahead for me. The newer ones look okay, but a bit too much like megabloks for me. Quote
hewkii9 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I, like the rest of the people here, like the Viking Dragon. It's just so nice. Quote
Athos Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I prefer the original. Its more in the style of the horses and other animals. The new dragon styles just don't seem to go with the horses. Steve Quote
Hinckley Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I prefer the original. Its more in the style of the horses and other animals. The new dragon styles just don't seem to go with the horses.Steve Time for new horses... New horses with more articulation please. I also voted for the vikings dragons, but I specifically mean the first wave. Not that Tyrannosaurus Bionicle monster that came in this set: Anyway, that's just one more reason they should continue the Vikings line so they can further the awesome-ness of those dragons. While I like the articulation, the Bionicle-ness was still a little high for my tastes. I almost wish they would make parts like the DINO line (I liked it! >:-( ) for dragons, so they would look more realistic and have great articulation. The new LEGO dragons in the new castle line? Get that crap away from me...I'd rather have a LEGO ice cube tray... Quote
Khorne Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I voted for the Viking dragon. I really like its big and mean look, plus, it's very posable *y* . 2nd would be the classic one and 3rd the Castle one. I think the Castle one looks like one of those Duplo dragons and doesn't fit with the dark theme of Castle '07. Quote
Norro Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'd prefer none... maybe an extra fig X-D . But if they must the creator one takes the biscuit! God Bless, Nathan Quote
zouave Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I like the first dragon design. *wub* That viking one is technicish. :-/ And the new one doesn't even seem Lego. :-X Quote
Zzz Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I voted for the classic one... cause my favorite is not listed and it is almost the same... my favorite one?! of course the "golden" dragon from the emperors palace.... love the whole thing.. so so classic... :-) Quote
dUCHAMP Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 i like Viking's style dragons. The New Castle Dino Attack Style did not match Lego's style. I don't know why a dragon is included in many box of Lego. Quote
alex54 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I prefer the original. Its more in the style of the horses and other animals. Exactly! This dragon has a real LEGO feeling, like the other animals. Time for new horses... /quote] You're not only a jocker, but a revolutionist! After 6-wide cars, you want new horses? I voted for the first dragon, because I really like! But I don't think that all those dragons are the same kind of dragons. I mean, the first one looks more like a domestic dragon, a lil'pet that makes fire! The viking dragon is a dragon monster, a very terrific pet! And the new dragon is a poor DUPLO pet losts in a LEGO set... It misses this dragon too: which is far better than the new one! It looks terific too, but it has thsi LEGO pet feeling! Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Not to be rude, but I can't believe anyone would choose the viking dragons! No offense, but I can't stand them. I like how they are made of more than 5 peices, but they are too 'technic/bionicle' for me. *n* *y* Classic Dragon On! *y* Quote
iamded Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 Firstly, thanks bonaparte for adding the poll etc. *y* Secondly, I can't believe I missed out 3 dragons. I should have made an 'other' option. :-( My bad. So that's the Golden Dragon (Orient Expedition), Creator Dragon, and the Harry Potter dragon. As I said, I was tired. :-P Golden Dragon can go with Classic, Harry Potter can go with New Castle (:-P) and creator can be it's own. All the Viking dragons (including the little black one) go with Vikings. Did the Dino Attack (/Dino 2010) dinosaurs have posable arms, as in, can move out wards instead or just up and down? If so, I'd take their arms/legs and put them on the new Castle dragon. Besides, I'm sure I can slightly modify the Vikings dragon and give it some new Castle dragon pieces. Wow, all this talk of the different dragons is confusing me. :-P Off to the Lego Theatre forum for me. X-D Quote
