TheNextLegoDesinger Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 firtst i wanted to buy the Volvo but now I found the uminog and i was thinking witch i should buy? Quote
zweihander Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I would say go for the Unimog. It's such a beauty, and it's getting rare by the day. Volvo is new, so it will be around for some time. It also depends on what kind of parts you want. Volvo has quite a broad range of pf elements, but the Unimog has pneumatic elements. Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 yeah i know but the uminog is € 120 more expensive Quote
N-4K0 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) If you want the Unimog, go for it while you still can. You'll be able to get the Volvo later. EDIT: the Unimog is 120 Euros more expensive? With the number of PF elements the Volvo has, that sounds weird. Edited November 16, 2014 by Error404 Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 okay ill get it on 6 december Quote
Dafgek81 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Buy the Unomog, way better, Volvo is only good for parts to build the one from M-Longer. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The Unimog was the worst set I have ever bought but I am just a MOC builder not a collector and a machinery lover too, just my opinion. Quote
N-4K0 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Yeah, I bought it for parts and didn't care so much about flaws, but the steering was poor. Quote
Nalyd997 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Yeah, I bought it for parts and didn't care so much about flaws, but the steering was poor. Nicjasno fixed that. But get the Unimog, I built at least three MOC's out of the majority of its parts. Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I believe the price is already blown up, because the UNIMOG is already out of production... Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 is it full RC control or not? Quote
Rockbrick Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 get the unimog sell it 6 months later and I'd be suprised if you can't buy 2 major sets out of it .... Quote

andythenorth Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 The Unimog was probably the most disappointing technic set I've bought. There's nothing wrong with it, but it was super-hyped, hard to live up to that. Things that bug me with it: - too big - poor performance of functions (steering, crane) - not fun to play with - no intricacy, no smart mechanisms or building techniques - failed the child test, my kids ignored it Pros: - physically impressive - introduced multiple great new parts (wheels, torque tubes, portal axles, new compressor pump, pneumatic coupling part) - robust - good suspension performance - good colour scheme Quote
