TheLegoNewbie Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Hello, I have recently put together a 60052 train and am having issues with the train wheels not gripping properly. The wheels do have the little rubber bands on them but the train still seems to slip. Can anyone please suggest how I can fix this issue? Cheers Quote
Rail Co Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 They should work fine unless you got a faulty pair of bands? Check if they are tight fitting, see if they move while you turn the wheel in your hand (if that makes sense). If you truly feel the bands aren't tight e-mail/ contact Lego themselves and see if you cant get replacements. They should work fine... I haven't personally experienced this so hopefully someone else can give you a better answer. Also make sure you don't make it go full throttle super quick or else the motor cant keep up so the wheels will slip. Hope that helps... -RailCo Quote
dr_spock Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I find that 60052 engine will slip if accelerated too fast. There isn't a lot of weight over the drive wheels. I used the same train motor in another MOC where the battery box sits on top of it. It works without slipping. You can try a test. Put some weight on the locomotive over the train motor. If it stops slipping, then you'll need to figure out how to add some extra weight or re-arrange the battery box and IR receiver. Quote
