What an awesome forum, I am so glad to be a member! Again I am Brian from the southeast US. A Video Service Technician by day, avid Lego builder by night. My first memorable set was the 8815 speedway bandit, I remember being mesmerized by the single cylinder engine and the steering rack. I was maybe 4 or 5, but I was hooked for life. Lego Technic / mindstorms has brought me back from a few somewhat short dark ages and dim ages. But I am a fan of most things Lego, as in all my tastes (music / movies / games) the 90's will always be the golden age. Lego Aquazone has always been my favorite theme, after getting my first job and ebay account at the age of 16, the big sets were finally affordable (Neptune Discovery Lab FTW!), albeit almost 10 years later. Fast forward another 10 years and that brings us to the present, selling minifigs and sets on ebay and bricklink to finally aquire all the 9v technic and mindstorms equipment I could ever want. I've learned how to properly clean battery acid out of battery compartments (hint the exact process depends on the type of battery), and make my own 9v cables. For the past few months I've been working on a huge Aquazone Diorama featuring tons of lights and motion, worklog is in the adventure forum, although I'm not quite sure thats the best place for it (will edit this post if it is moved). Thanks for reading, nice to meet fellow AFOL's!

Welcome to Eurobricks, ELItheICEman!

I am looking forward to seeing your large Aquazone build. I spent many an hour in my childhood building and playing with Aquazone.

Below is a link to the worklog for the project, including pics and video. It's mostly technical so far, but is getting more aquazoney as the foundation is completed. I've just been editing the post as I go, so check back even if there aren't new posts.

8815 is quite nice start up set. Love to read lego related stories from the AFOLs. Welcome!

Absolutely, I'd like to dig up the parts sometime and build it for old times sake. I'm also a sucker for a good AFOL story, especially since I don't know anyone in RL who has the love for the brick like I do.

Yeah, I know the feeling!
