Brother Steven Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Lurking in the depths of the dark forest is the mighty GRÔZ the Giant, the terror of the local countryside! Wielding a massive club and armed with the strength of a hundred bears, none dare oppose him! Or do they? ... An entry to the CCCXII Custom Minifig Category. The name GRÔZ means large or big in ancient Germanic. Some Citadel paint and a little hot glue sure makes a difference! Happy Veterans Day! ~Brother Steven Quote
Slegengr Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Very interesting giant, Brother Steven! Though I am purist myself, I like to see what others customize. GROZ is great! The color choices are excellent. The details that stand out most to me are the fit of the beard to the head and collar and that mace . The belt also looks very nice. Quote
cesbrick Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I must confess that when I was checking and picking the categorys that I would enter on the CCC, this one was not on my list. But after seeing this, maybe I will change my mind. This is inspiring! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Very clever build. I like how it all came together. I have a hard time justifying customization, but I have seen a few over the past few years that I'd love to own. It would be neat if LEGO came with bigfigs that you could customize (obviously not paint) but have variations of arms/colors and head prints/hair/helmets or something to help mix it up. That would be neat. Not constraction figures, actual bigfigs. Outside of different printing, the molds could be re-used considerably. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I will NOT dare opposing him! Quote
