Htrag Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Hello, all! I am posting a new creation of mine. It is a wheeled excavator, modeled in John Deere-ish colors. It has a working arm (obviously), blade on the front, stabilizers in the back, and access to the engine compartment from the side door and by removing the panel on top. It ended up a little bigger than intended, but I am pleased with the way it turned out. Comments or questions are appreciated. Thanks for looking! Htrag Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks! The forum said that the file extension could not be used. They are all JPEGs, but very large, so I couldn't attach them directly to the post. What did you do that worked? Quote

Have a look at this tutorial thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 Good looking digger! I like the hydraulics and the outriggers. Quote
Htrag Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks, eurotrash! I knew I had done this correctly before. Just couldn't remember where that post was. The "hydraulic" was necessary to keep the boom from falling, but I think it is a great addition to the machine. Quote
Legogal Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Nice truck, too. The red cab really pops. And the two vehicles work well together. All you need is a load of LEGO dirt, rocks, bricks or whatever to fill your dump truck. Looks like a lot of fun, too. My son at age three spent days digging up our gravel driveway and moving the gravel two feet using his Little Tikes vehicles resembling yours....a blast to watch! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 AWESOME piece of machinery you have created there 'Htrag'.......any more coming ? Brick On 'Htrag' ! Quote
Htrag Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 lightningtiger, I will have another snowcat, and a Medivac helicopter as well (waiting on parts for both). I am also working on a tracked undercarriage for this machine. Quote
CityBuilder Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It's very cute! But for some reason get a retro feeling from this, even though the design look modern. Maybe it's the size? Quote

I can't take credit for the truck, though. It is set 4434 from a couple of years ago. Quote
