Hi Guys, New member here,

Been aware of the site for the last few months i am an afol, I collect minifigs an have five of the modular buildings.

Im From Ireland

I have abit of an idea regaurding the mini figure seires, would it be possible to become a distributor of lego and just buy a box our two of the series, open them up and then sell them on a local online sites,I hate getting the same minifigure and this would let people collect all of them without extra cost etc.

Also i nwonder how difficult would it be to become a distributor would you have to have a minimum spend

whats your guys views

thanks

I think LEGO handles their own distribution. I believe you mean to say become a retailer and we know that LEGO works with same toy shops. But I believe you would have to buy a significant volume in order to maintain being a retailer.

If you live in the US, you would also have to get a tax ID number as you could purchase LEGO from a distributor without paying sales tax, but you would have to collect it from what you sell (at least in your local state).

In the end, it seems to me like a poor idea to just feel a case or two of minifigs before anyone else gets a chance. However, if this is a passion to sell LEGO and you think you have a business plan that would make people want to buy from you instead of just Walmart, Amazon, Target, or Toys R Us, then I say go for it.

There are usually eBay sellers with full cases up before the series comes out. If you catch them early the per figure price comes out below retail so that would make selling the extras a little easier.

Spotted the boxes on ebay cureently biding on a few but you really need to get the cheap theres not a huge profit margin on the box, then again its not bad given whats involved

As for the bricklink store sounds like alotta work, (buy loadsa sets and sell the for bits) im guessing ?

Thanks
