how to connect lego head accessories to stud

I have some lone ranger sets, and would like to use the crow piece from tonto's head and use it on its own in a tree, telephone pole, or house. Any ideas how to attach it?

Part 33291 (The Stud Flower) can accept plume connections.

Would also work. There are a lot of colours for that too, as they are used for Unikitty.

If you have some of the old finger-style hinges, the plume connector on the LR crow piece fits snugly between the teeth:

This is only because the crow piece is slightly rubbery; other plume attachments that are stiff such as feathers or flame pieces have a hard time sticking.

This brick has a small hole underneath that can fit such pieces (at least it works for the queen crown)

Thanks for the ideas. I tried them all and was only happy with the stud flower piece connection, the others didn't hold the crow (the plume stick is much smaller than the unikitty horn, which I tried initially). I have one of those stud flowers in light green and that fits fine in a tree. For a black stud I was thinking about drilling a small hole, but that seems like cheating. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe a technic flex tube or pneumatic hose. Those can then be connected to something else. But it might end up a little complicated for a bird-holder-contraption :)
