snowvictim Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Hi! Any suggestion on how to do good handrails for an 8-wide? I'm not happy with the ones I have now, but I can't think of anything else/better. Quote
detjensrobert Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Flex tube works well, from what I've seen on here and flickr, brickshelf, ect. Quote
snowvictim Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 Droid arms and tubing. Too small, this is 8-wide. I'll try flex and get back to you. Quote
dr_spock Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 You can also use these type of bar holder with clip. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11090 The flex tubing also fits inside the holder so it is possible to cut flex tubing to the proper height you want the rails to be at. Quote
Duq Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Flex tube, hands and flex tube: 6400 driver by Duq, on Flickr Couldn't find a better picture but you get the idea. The 'wrist' of a minifig hand fits into the vertical flex tube and the hand then holds the horizontal tube. The vertical ones stand in hollow studs (jumper plates on mine). Quote
deraven Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 You could also put the 11090 bar holder with clip at the top of a 4L bar (lightsaber blade) attached the same way you have those 6.6L bars in your photo, then the flex tube across. That would get you a similar look with the height just about where it should be as well as solving the horizontal handrail issue by using the flex tube. Quote
