I am going to buy a Traxxas 1/16 E-Revo VXL with some extras.

Hmm, sounds like a offroader, is it?

Hi!

I race 1/28 Mini-z cars at my local hobby shop. They are great fun! The best part is that they are not that expensive. I really want a 1/10 scale buggy, but there is nowhere to race.

A buggy is something I plan on getting sometime, though I like drifting.

That does sounds fun, I don't know if I will ever race my 1/10 scale anywhere but I will definitely drive it a lot and maybe jump it.

Maybe you should drive it, they are fun.

I once did some research on the best RC cars available, and the E-Revo came out on top (it is also probably the one I'm going to buy when I get the money).

By not expensive - how much do you mean?

Enjoy that!

@mocbuild101 By not too expensive I mean starting around $150 and adding $30-40 upgrades as you get better. It is definitely a lot of fun! In fact, tonight we are having an oval race event where everyone gets 3-second lap times and there are epic crashes!

I have an ECX RUCKUS, that is 95% upgraded, it was a cheaper truck, but all the upgrades I did to it make it very fast. I'd smoke your REVO :sweet:

Ha, maybe so! How fast does it go?

The fastest car at my place goes 18 MPH. Have in mind that these are 1/28 scale. They go at least 250-300 scale MPH.

My car does 25-30 speed tested, and it turns well! + it drifts!

At 1:10

RC Guys:

While this is indeed Technic Pub for chit chat, it is not a good idea to turn it into a RC topic.

Yes it does seem to be getting less technicy .

You can always start an RC Talk topic thread in the Community Forum

Yes, that would be a great idea!

Also, it it was started by a member with a ranking of Knight or higher, they could have a poll of what members have RC cars (or other RC vehicle).

Regarding set numbers in the Technic line:

Which numbers did they skip so far in the 42000 range? 42012-19, 51 and 67 are the ones I find missing, unless I've missed some, hah.

And for that matter - given that they're now on 5 digit numbers and eventually will have to keep increasing, I find it strange when they skip numbers seemingly for no reason, even if some of them were planned and later cancelled as was the case with 42051.
