Also, if you look at the Sail Barge pic on the catalog, it was the prototype version with slight mods only !! *yoda* Looool yeay, how hard is it to come with a backstory :-P At least mine was fun hehe !! I can't wait to read the crappy TLC one :-D Humm, since those jellybeans aliens seem to not sell, maybe we'll see a new mine set of a dwarf finding a jellymartian inside a rock X-D and sending that "thing" to scare Shakar and his skellies far fra away X-D *yoda* Well lets hope TLC dont go changing this set, im fed up with them removing bits from the proto versions. I think you are correct !! Look at the arms of those MFs, they are *yoda* 's sand green :-D So its definitly NOT a human faction. So bottom line: its human versus undead and unhuman X-D That way less funny hehe And the Crown's king cannot be affected by an old bearded wizard mind you !! Personaly i too love the fact that the axe's are still being used, there one of the best new weapons that tlc have produced. Quote

The good guy clans all have a nice variety of helmets, while the undead/bad guy only have that or nothing. It's such an easy jump from "castle theme" to "fantasy theme" since most modern fantasy (at least the stuff coming from the U.S. and England) is set in a quasi-European medieval era. When I was a kid, I was really into the Lego Castle sets, and I always wished they would introduce fantasy elements, which they finally did with the Dragon Knights (just as I was moving into Town and Train sets). So, I'm not surprised to see Lego really embracing the fantasy aspect of their Castle theme. It's a natural fit, and fantasy is a hugely popular genre these days. I don't know how upset the hardcore Castle fans will be. Seems to me that most of them incorporate fantasy elements into their structures and stories. Having tons of new pieces, like golden axes, winged helmets, dwarves, and fantasy monsters should be right up their alley. Not to mention all the basic bricks and arches in useful colors like grey and brown. I haven't bought a Castle set in over 10 years, but man, this year's lineup is tempting .... Quote

The troll looks fun and it be even more awesome if those 2 minifigs are indeed Goblins,we may never get LOTR lego but this is a brillant sub...hopefully there will be some smaller sets to go with them? I heard some rumors of a dwarf faction (don't know where that was), but didn't expect to see anything this fast. In my opinion, the mine itself is nothing special. Maybe there are some interesting pieces but that's it. But the minifigs and weapons are something else. I already love those new dwarf helmets! I tried to enlarge some parts of the picture to see some more details. Is the minfig in middle (the one with the cool new helmet with the "wings") wearing some special (longer?) armor? Hard to tell. And the new swords are not to bad (maybe a bit big). But I'm not so sure whether I like this creature... My conclusion: The best piece in this set is that new helmet with those "wings" on both sides.
