Wardancer Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Hi, I am currently woring with LDD for the first time and there is one thing that I cannot understand. I am trying to get minifig hands a an independent, standalone part. Is that possible? I cannot find a hand as a part in the database. But they are attached to every torso in there. Can I not seperate a hand from a torso? I tried copy and paste, but that only affects the whole torso, even if just the hand is selected. Any help? Quote
Superkalle Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Hi The reason they are not available as separate parts is because they are not part of the LEGO System. For example you can't call LEGO Customer Services and order them as a spare part, neither can you see them used in any official LEGO set. However, there are some way to tweak LDD into getting the hands separated. There should be a topic about that somewhere here if you search (can't remember on the top of my head). Or if someone else can remember where that topic is? Quote
Calabar Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 There is some trick to separate parts, but LDD consider a torso (and other composed bricks) as a single part. About hands, it is not possible because this part is not fully molded in LDD. Take a look at this topic. Quote
Wardancer Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 Thank you for the help. It will a while until I get into the matter deep enough to use such tricks described in the thread. Quote
